The offense needs to score more points otherwise we'll fall short again next year. The OL and a WR are important esp a WR that can contribute.

There is always the option of trying to make the offense function better by converting the defense from good to great. With a little more development of Spencer, a healthy Ware, one ballhawking safety and a dynamic IlB who can blitz and cover and we are there.

The OL is a gigantic need for depth we need more production out of the #2 WR spot. For next year, this is as likely to come from KO as it is to come from a 2nd round rookie. You have to remember that Garrett isn't in a hurry to use his depth anyway. He likes vets in there.

I like Babe's opinions, too, and more than anything I like all the attention channel 11 gives to the Cowboys, but he has a HUGE ego and thinks he's Ron Wolf reincarnate in his scouting abilities. So that's part of his push for Ogletree -- that's his boy and he's going to prop him up constantly.

I mean, I like Ogletree too, and I was very disappointed in Roy. But to act like an undrafted rookie should be given that much playing time over a vet like Roy is a little crazy. The modern passing game is very complicated with all its checks and adjustments -- we saw miscues between Miles and Tony cost us INTs and critical incompletions against Denver and KC, and Miles has been here for years now. So let's not act like a raw rookie like Ogletree could handle all that being put on his plate.

And BTW -- anyone notice his comments on the last score? Yeah, someone who actually played the game. It's not about "mercy", it's about respect for your opponent and, even more, the game. Too bad he's not as smart as a bunch of MMA fans, I guess.

I won't defer to Babe Laugenberg but Ray Sherman our widely respected receiver coach. Just a few day ago Ray stated flatly that Ogletree is not ready yet. Talent alone will not make you a key wide receiver but I do want to see more of Ogletree in 2010 as he is exciting, possibly a potential playmaker.

The biggest disappointment to me this season is Bennet, Williams but most of all the Oline. We better get that fixed or we will keep repeating offensive and collaterally defensive collapses in intense games.

Let's not forget Jerry is high on Ogletree, too. Yeah, he wants Roy to pan out. Who doesn't? But Jerry is high on Ogletree too.

I do hope/believe that the 2nd WR position will be opened for competition this year. I do think Ogletree will see more reps regardless of whether or not he wins the job.
