NO how can something be legal that is illegal? Just because the rules in baseball did not outline steriods does not make them legal. True Giambi could have shot steriods up in Yankee stadium and baseball would have a hard time doing something about it. However the NYPD would be able to act swiftly.

You're concept of ILLEGAL is misplaced. Anabolic steroids are ILLEGAL in the sports world (outside of bodybuilding) in that it will end your career if you get caught using them.

It does not mean, the police will break down your door. It's not like narcs or cocaine.

Sterioids are not made in illegal camps in Colombia and smuggled into the USA on boats. Steroids are pharmaceuticals, produced by HUGE multi-billion dollar pharmaceutical companies like Schering.

Anabolic steroids are used to treat muscle deficiency and muscle wasting patients as well as people with AIDS and HIV. HGH is used to treat children with growth problems as well as maintaining AIDS/HIV patients from wasting to death.

The media has given you guys a very poor understanding of Steroids. Taking it gives the user athlete an advantage. Taking it does not kill the use as the media would like to point out.

Steroids are medicinal and pharmaceutical ... just like your Rx drugs. It's simply illegal to distribute Rx pharmaceuticals without a Rx. The police won't arrest you for shooting Testosterone up your butt.
