Our run game actually has struggled lately in terms of yards per carry. I don't know what the deal is with that.

We run so much on 1st down that opponents are stacking the box pretty heavily and frequently run blitzing. And we run into that and get stuffed.

Teams are focusing heavily on stopping the ground game. It opens up the rest of the offense.

I don't think its because the running game carries the team. But up until a few weeks ago, Murray was considered the MVP candidate. That probably doesn't help Romo's cause.
