what a great weekend. the foorball game was great. the dallas fans there were unbelievable. the team wasn't perfect, but did enough to win against a pretty good team.

as for myself, a story book event. can't describe my feels watching rob play his first pro game, play fairly well and have the team come away with a big win. thanks to all for the good wishes, i know rob will continue to work to improve.

lastly, now that my sister, a retired educator, is on board, i quess i'll have to use the spell check or hear it from her at the next family get together.

Welcome back PD... we were all proud for you. Rob did a fine job Sunday... especially for being a rook!

Glad to have your sister aboard!

That's great Pittdawg! I know it was like a dream to you and the rest of your family to see Rob starting for the Dallas Cowboys!

I have been a big fan of his since I first saw his highlight clips. He is going to be a very good player for us for a long time if he can stay motivated and keep his head in the game.

Other than a couple of false starts (I heard it was very loud there) he played pretty well and kept his guy from getting to Bledsoe. I would like to see him blow his man up once in a while though, just to let them know he can do it to them. Big-E used to do that and it would get into the DEs head and you would see them not even trying to get past him after a while as they were too worried he was going to put them on their backside if they weren't paying attention to him.

Tell your son that THUMPER and a lot of other Cowboys fans are rooting for him.

Congratulations Pittdawg!

Man Pitt, I am really happy for you and your family.

I know you do not know us from a hole in the ground, but in some strange way I feel like I do know you and your family a little bit.

Really, thank you very much for coming around and sharing your experiences and allowing us to be involved. It really is a pleasure!

All we have to do is keep it rolling! GO ROB! GO COWBOYS! :star:

Pittdawg, looks like Rob got out of Pitt just in time, and on to a winning team !! (Ohio ?? ... ouch ! )

Just kidding, the Mountaineer in me couldn't resist.

Tell Rob we all love him and are proud of him in his first game.

What a thrill for all Cowboys fans to have a rookie step up in the O-Line.

Continued best wishes for our new RT.

Rob, a 6th round pick, is playing as well as guys like Rogers or Peterman ever did, and they were 2nd and 3rd round draft picks, so I think Petitti is doing A-Okay. :) It must have been surreal watching you kid play in a live NFL game.

funny side story, rob said alot of players were busting on him and lousaka, meowing and saying here come the mighty panthers. rob doesn't like it.

Congrats Pittdawg.

Must have been a fantastic feeling watching your son play his first pro game.

Maybe one of these years you'll be booking a ticket to Hawaii as well! :D

And by the way, my mom is an ex- English professor, so I know the pressure!

Hey Pittdawg--We're all proud of your son & thrilled for you! Kinda nice that a member of our e-family is playing for the team. And as a starter! He's a rookie, so there will be some mistakes, but how exciting. You can even tell that Parcells is excited at the energy all those rookies are bringing to defense. (Hey--I was cracking up at his PC after the game. The more he crabs, the happier he really is over the team's performance. And he was in MAJOR fussbudget mode during that PC, so he secretly must have been in 7th heaven!)

Like I said before, although it is a great rivalry, there is great respect between the Pitt & WVU programs.

For the Cowboys to get a great Panter from Pitt means they got a great player, ... period.

p.s. Tell whoever made your sig picture to change it, Rob sure has EARNED the Star on his helmet now !!

Well pittdawg I was a nervous wreck for the last 30 minutes of that game, all I could do was pace back and forth in front of the TV set. I can't even imagine what you must have been feeling.

Long time Cowboy fans like myself have been priviledged to have watched some of the best offensive lines in the NFL wear the Silver and Blue, however; for the last few years the team has struggled with finding solid pro linemen. After the draft I remember watching the highlight clips of your son and I couldn't help but wonder how Rob wasn't drafted much earlier. All I can say is I hope Rob, yourself, your sister and any other members of your family remain members of the Cowboy family for a long, long time.

You are rightly proud of your son he played much better than a 6th round draft pick would ever be expected to play, as a matter of fact his play indicated to me my first impressions watching his highlight film were probably correct. Looks like the Cowboys found a real player with the selection of your son, and hopefully a return of the dominating offensive line play the Cowboys have enjoyed in the past.

Man Sundays game was exciting all I've got to say is "How Bout Them Cowboys" !!!!!!!!!!!!!!

PS Bye the way I wanted to say hello and welcome aboard your sister, I hope you both enjoy our passionate (LOL) discussions of Cowboy football. Your direct insight and inside knowledge has added substantually to this forum. Thanks for keeping us informed........

I have a Son that is playing Pee Wee football right now. Every time he steps
onto a field I feel so proud of him. I cannot imagine how you feel everytime you see your son playing in the NFL. I appreciate you giving us a "insiders view" of the Cowboys organization.
