what a great weekend. the foorball game was great. the dallas fans there were unbelievable. the team wasn't perfect, but did enough to win against a pretty good team.

as for myself, a story book event. can't describe my feels watching rob play his first pro game, play fairly well and have the team come away with a big win. thanks to all for the good wishes, i know rob will continue to work to improve.

lastly, now that my sister, a retired educator, is on board, i quess i'll have to use the spell check or hear it from her at the next family get together.

Well you might want to get started on that spell check sooner than you thought. But I also thought the "foorball" game was a great one. :laugh2:

seeing Rob now..... it is hard to remember him being 360lbs. He looks very good physically. His weight loss makes him look well proportioned and athletic. and he is still a huge man.
His commitment to his conditioning will only help his career and, more importantly, his overall health.
I thought he played great.

Of course they are, we just got a bunch of grammar mods on the board, too. No grammatical mistakes are allowed, unless you're dargonking who admits to wearing mittens while typing... :D

rob said alot of players were busting on him and lousaka, meowing and saying here come the mighty panthers. rob doesn't like it.

Well, thats the way we like him, nice and pissed off! Tell him to take it all out on the guy in front of him. It is good therapy :D

We are all very proud of Rob and believe he will be the starting RT one day on a Cowboys' SB team.

Regarding your sister, just tell her that is the way that Cowboys' fans write and spell and you are just trying to fit in. lol.

I am referring to your spelling, Pittdawg! And...I won't pick on anyone else in this forum.

For the record folks, Al Singleton was a student in the high school where I was then a guidance counselor. I later became the supervisor of the department. Ironic that the only two NFL players I know personally play on the same team!

Uh oh. Just for the record, I don't think anybody here likes Al but me. Don't talk to Nors about him.

will not be able to make it, but rob's brother will be there in my place. i will be going out to the west coast for the 49er and raider games and first trip to dallas for the eagles game.

hey, this could get kind of expensive. good thing rob will let me stay at his apt.

Congratz!!!

This is unreal for us; I can't imagine how it must feel for you.

Are you gonna travel to most of the games?
Are you set up here in the Dallas area yet?
I am sure we can offer plenty of advice (and free beer if warranted) about this area and many others.

We are all excited and very proud of his accomplishments.

Damned straight. Rob looked more like a 2nd year player than a rook and he's only going to improve. You have much to be proud about PD.

he seems to have enough even as a rookie to hold down the position, which means he will only get better with more experience going against different players. if he can hold down the right side with Rivera, and protect Drew as Job #1, he'll be wearing the star for many years.
i wonder how much of an influence/factor it is having a veteran like Rivera to look to for advice, etc? it must be a big help for Rob and a blessing for him to get some tutoring from Marco, as well as lining up beside him on the field.
Congrats to your son, and thanks for dropping in and keeping us all up to speed - we are all behind him 100%!!!!!
