Not sure why this is even a discussion. Oh I know the stupidity of the zone. Put rush in hes 5-1 . The Cowboys team has back to back 12-5 seasons and this place wants to replace Dak with Rush. You want to replace Dak Im good with it but you better do better than Rush if youre end goal is to get a championship.

You got a top 10 QB who for a variety of reasons dont excel in playoffs against the niners. Its not all on him. Neither SF loss was. Dur all he had to do was play average and not throw 2 picks. Ya and all we didnt need in 21 was 15 penalties some of which brought back plays.

in 22 Dak was worse yet but was not helped by play call lack of separation by WR and one of 2 weapons getting hurt. Virtually no running game because the OL was getting their asrses handed to them AGAIN. A star CB that crapped the bed as well. You folks want a QB that can overcome shortcomings of the rest of the team and thats not dak at least he hasnt shown us that ability thus far. IM worried about the line this year but well see what 23 brings

saw the game sorry but that not last year.. hes a below average backup. nothing i saw was impressive from last years 5 games he started, not one..apprently the league also noticed the big YAWN. were crickets for his services in any capacity.

remember that TG game by Garett, right backups occasionally just huck it up and come out on top. saw some last year from a few backups like white or Baker it fizzles fast,

Look around the league last year where starting QB's missed several games. With the exception of Brock Purdy, they weren't as good as Rush. Bottom line, Cooper is not a standout backup, but he has done well enough to keep the ship moving in the right direction, which is really the best teams get from their backups

They should have drafted Will Levis to be the 2025 starter. They would have had a good QB on a rookie contract through 2028. Dak is too injury-prone to be counted on.

Rush could start somewhere imo.

The thing is 31 other GM's had LENGTHY film on Rush in real game time, NONE of them thought this..think about that not one GM came for Rush, you guys tell me all the time "The talent at QB in this league is at rock bottom" so lets assume literally at least 10 teams are looking for a quality starter...NONE of them called for Rush knowing it would be on the cheap..let that sink in.

Rush can hold it down. No worries there. He's proven.

That sums up the backup QB situation in a nutshell,,, I've heard that Greer actually looks better than Rush in TC but Rush has proven himself in live action AND he's got a new contract, gonna be tuff to supplant him as the #2. If Greer can do it though I'm all for it,,, Rush has a low ceiling.
