Backup Guard, Should the Cowboys sign a free agent?

Wow, did I ever miss on Carimi in the draft a few years ago. I thought he'd be a Pro Bowler

Yeah, I thought he'd be pretty good too. I wasn't sure how good but I thought he'd be solid at worst.

There were a lot of people then that said we should trade back and take him and pick up some extra picks. I remember one guy saying Tyron Smith was better he thought but not much better and we could pick up some extra picks and still fill the hole at T with Carimi.

Just goes to show you that sometimes getting the guy who is the blue chipper and has rare traits is the way to go... even at the expense of extra picks.

Gabe Carimi is not a free agent, he is now with the Falcons. Chris Kuper has retired. If the Randy Thomas from Miami is the same one I am thinking of, he has not played since 2010. And Brandon Carter is out of the league working in pro wrestling.

Other than that, great list to use to discuss.

I agree. Doubt you see much of anything until after we see what the draft has in store for us. If pieces fall right we may end up with a high O line pick and that drastically changes things.

I haven't been serious on a Cowboys' board in years. Even when me and you are going at it, I am laughing . This is nothing but entertainment for me. Alexander is one of the best posters on these boards though.
