Thanks for the info xwalker.......so pretty much the only difference being wieght? How much do you think that factors in?

I have no idea. It seems like more weight would be more stress, but it's seems like non-linemen have more knee injuries than linemen so who knows. Either way, the Cowboys have Zero depth on the interior of the OLine. They need to add at least 2 players and they need to identify a legit backup that is ready for game 1.

I agree...they dodged a bullet last season in not really needing a back-up on the interior...that could have gotten REALLY ugly for us if something went wrong...I would hope that they are planning for a good back-up or at least to determine options on the interior

I think we can draft 2 o lineman and fill out the position just fine. Grab a high pedigree guy in rounds 2-4 and then grab an injured/small school later to see if you can hit on a diamond in the rough. Joel Bitonio in the 3rd and Spencer Long in the 6/7th would be my dream scenario.

I like Bitonio as well. I am hoping for a couple OL in the draft and still a free agent signing too.

We had Costa and Waters last year for depth, this year not so much. But it's still March and I have 4 inches of snow in my yard.

that's the real problem, for much of the end of the year, Waters was gone and then Costa was the only back-up....the same costa that could never make it into the line-up and was unceremoniously jettisoned a short while ago....

yeah, we had a lot as back-ups...(snow is all melted her in penna now)

They signed Waters which allowed Bernadeau to be the super-sub. Waters has not been replaced.

I agree, I am just saying that once Waters went down, then our back-up (only) was costa...THAT could have been ugly in a hurry

I think we'd actually have slid Free over. Costa's only an OG in a real pinch.

and who would have played RT? Weems? Wasn't Parnell dinged?

Parnell was dinged in camp and couldn't compete for the starting gig, but he was the fifth best OL and would have been plugged in at RT during the season. I think.

well I agree that at the end of the year Free + Parnell next to Fred would have been WAAAYYYYYY better than Costa and Free next to Fred
