And they always tell you not to take the medication if you're allergic to it.

Yeah, this is so stupid. How do you know if you are allergic to it if you have never taken it? Hospitals always ask this question to. "Are you allergic to any medications?" Me:"Well, none that I have ever taken, but that list is so short!"

On the radio there is a commercial for some charity 1-800-CARS FOR KIDS where some guy and a kid sing this annoying jingle over and over. It makes me want to crash my car into a bridge or something. I always flip the channel when I hear that jingle.

I always assumed the commercials mean, "Don't take any more of it if you have an allergic reaction."...but why would you?

Seriously, if someone says, "Oh man, this tastes like crap!...Try some." I wouldn't even do that. I'm sure as hell not going to take medication I'm allergic to!

MeTV playing the same commercials
Over and over.

JJ Walker, Joe Namath and now William Shatner doing the same scripted commercial to get people to call and get their zip codes checked to see if they can get more medicaid/Medicare benifits. JJ Walker saying the word Money is enough to make me cringe.
I saw the JJ Walker ad the other day. Watching a commercial like that is why I rely on watching TV on streaming services.

Those Medicare commercials..I guess since a lot of old people do nothing all day but watch fox news, but those ads are on literally every break.
There's some good commercials too, progressive with how not become your parents, are great. The ones with Flo and Jon Hamm are pretty funny too.

Here's one I find annoying:

"I have moderate to severe plaque psoriasis."...or there are other, similar ones.

You don't know whether it's moderate or severe? Maybe you should ask your doctor before you make a commercial about it!

The Jimmy Walker (JJ) commercial is pathetic. The poor guy looks like a homeless wino. I never understood the popularity of his signature DYN-O-MITE line that was so popular.

The Pepto Bismol commercials, where they sing about "upset stomach and diarrhea" are pathetic. It's like a subliminal way of giving you a need for the product.

Allowing pharmaceutical companies to market directly to consumers is as bad as it gets.

"Do you have (some common symptom) then ask you Dr about (some catchy named drug)."

And then they say something like, "May cause dryness of the mouth, rashes, sore throats, skin irritation, erectile dysfunction, fever, broken bones, love for communism, and sexual attraction to evergreen trees."

It's so annoying. I wish they hadn't even legalized ads for meds.

Agreed. It's bad enough to have the doctors bribed into pushing them, without making it easy for them.

It gets worse. Depending on the State, you can go online, fill out a survey and get prescriptions filled without even having a conversation. So your point plants the seed.
