I mean the first video is just such crystal clear evidence that the team's greatest issue is a lack of WR talent. Teams do not respect this receiving corps!!! DET is choosing to give multiple man-to-man options and play with a loaded box because they simply do not worry about getting beat by these guys other than 88. They are going single high (with the safety at like 9 yards!!!), rolling to 88 and saying "go ahead Tolbert, try to get over the top on us." No competent offense is running into this look - it is the type of look that teams like the Chiefs and Packers work relentlessly to get, because it should be so easy to get guys open.

The OL has no chance, doesn't matter which 5 you put there, because they are outgapped and outmanned.

On second look, I don't think 88 is even on the field, so the safety isn't going to cheat one way. THIS SHOULD BE PITCH AND CATCH.
lol

Super glad to have your big brains give an opinion. Which part of that is wrong?
It's naive to think you can pay Dak top dollar and have a top running game and a plethora of options. Even the Great Mahomes had to deal with "less". Even the GOAT Tom Brady had to deal with less in NE...winning a super bowl with likes of Paul Hogan at WR.

The WRs are no worse than what Mahomes dealt with last year and what Brady dealt with during his last years in NE. Yes, we have injuries but...this is THE SO WHAT of why Dak got paid.

He wasn't even respectable. And the diversion is to point to the WR making $2mm/year? C'mon...it's laughable.

Of course it is the little things. On the Diggs play, Diggs gets caught up in traffic because of a well designed play. While Dallas has receivers running into each other, the Lions had defenders running into each other.

CeeDee is not worth $34 million. He beats u p on inferior defenders but when they need him to get open in a game like this, he doesn't. So then they force the ball to him and it winds up getting intercepted.

The Cowboys do not have any skills at the skill positions so taking out CeeDee is an easy assignment for most defenses.

But it is also worth noting that the Cowboys are playing guys like Carlos Watkins, and Lawson and Joseph who were signed late and didn't get the benefit of a lot of the practices.

So in other words you have nothing to say about my actual post? Got it.

You don't need to spend money on a running game. I'm not naive about anything - don't spend on the run game but open it up with WRs. They have the money for it right now and always have.

Ok? Mahomes and Brady are better than Dak lol. Mahomes hasn't been good this year if you aren't paying attention, but Brady never had this little talent in NE.

I don't know what diversion you're talking about.

The ability for you people to just go off on tangents and make stuff up is almost impressive if it wasn't driven by such stupidity. They absolutely could be paying for more weapons right now. I know actual, real numbers scare you, but they have ~$22m cap space now. They could have had another $10m by dumping Cooks and didn't have to sign Zeke.

With $34m extra, they could have signed Christian Wilkins, signed Derrick Henry, and added any basically any two WRs they wanted. This team is much different with Wilkins, Henry and say Keenan Allen and Darnell Mooney, right?

The money is there, they are just bad at spending it and people like you eat up the cap nonsense.

Just answer this question, is the math I posted wrong?

There are 0 WRs who can get open in this environment.

CD could be better on contested catches and win some that way, but nobody is going to get open because they are essentially triple covering him every play.

Nothing to break down. Their guys took any of our guys in front of them to the shed. They were men-we were choirboys. Not physics here...

By what metric, measure or merit is Patrick Mahomes "not playing well"? He's not playing up to his all-time great standards, but that does NOT mean he is not playing winning football. For you to even casually float this argument indicates to me you are repeating media catch phrases instead of watching football. Mahomes has to MAKE his WRs...he doesn't have 2 #1WRs as training wheels. When he lost Tyreek, he won without a true #1 WR and still is winning without one. With and without a running game. With and without the defense. THAT is the guy whom you pay $60million per year if...

...oh wait. Mahomes took less so he can have more.

I am addressing your point about WRs and separation. I have been watching football for many, many years and this is a STAT that is nice-to-know but is not the indicator of a QBs success. There's sooooo many other things that matter. Dak doesn't make quick decisions. He fixates on CeeDee. He has limited to no mobility. He was missing Brandon Cooks. But the most glaring, consistent thing we know is that no matter what WRs line up...Dak will CHOKE. That is a universal constant...something you think can be fixed with...what?

I agree. Derrick Henry would have been great. Still doesn't fix Dak as a choker. All you want is to remove every single excuse from Dak ...which is what I observed the fans of Romo used to do. It's emotional attachment, ego...but it's not honest analysis. The Eye of Sauron somehow can't see Dak.

Wait until you see Washington and 4 or 5 other teams that have blown by this mess
Commanders do nothing special to me. There are a few teams like Rams, 49ers….their blocking schemes are just on a different planet than our 1994 schemes.

This is a lot of word salad that wasn't worth typing.

To only imagine what Reid could do for CD.

why is it our OL doubles the defenders, in a 4 wide formation, leaving a man open to attack the backfield and oh btw, the RB is lined up on the same side that the man is open!!!! that's stupid play design.

and what I appreciated it in the breakdowns is the little details of the play designs and execution by detroit...we are playing back yard football compared to the rest of NFL. I think MM and the staff have given up and are just going through the motions, waiting for the year to end. they all talk the talk and say the right things, but seeing the results and the lack of effort and detail. its so obvious.
