I like our TE situation but I would still draft the Notre Dame kid in a heartbeat.

I'd say most fans, myself included, didn't know what to think yet. A rookie going immediately to LT and playing at a high level is extremely rare. If Tyler Smith was a Powerball number, I'd pick it every week!

It was reasonable to be worried about him starting at left tackle absent Tyron Smith, who had played it so well for a number of years.
It just goes to show that we're not always correct in our assessments.
Shrug.
I always say, I'll gladly be wrong in my prediction if it means the Cowboys or/and their players are winning. :)

I think they draft another TE in the spring and keep these two. Schultz has a new address.

Hard to disagree. If they can block like that to set up the run game, I don't see a lot of room for high-dollar TE.

TEs that can block are a necessity when you need to be a running team. The Cowboys need to be a running team.

I said it last night but Hendershot has the chance to be something special folks. If you squint real hard he reminds me of Kittle a little.

I was shooting for Jay Novacek. I’ll take some of the blocking issues if he can make the clutch catch every week.

Brown and/or his agent is going to want more than the Joneses are willing to pay. Makes sense to draft a legitimate replacement.

There are going to be a lot of needs, I'd rather just pay the price for Brown. Even if it's around 10m per season.

This team missed James Hanna when he retired, he was was a solid blocking TE. We had a gap between Witten getting old and the replacements being just 'ok' at blocking. Having two guys who can block can only help this team be more competitive. A running game threat just opens everything up

Yeah I guess if Kittle was playing with cinder blocks on. Himdershot ran a 4.78 and looks it. Kittle ran4.52 and looks like he’s playing faster than what he timed! He’s basically a big ase WR matched up on safety’s and LBs! Think I’ll give it a bit longer before I make that comparison… just saying!

This hilarious.... most of you were just like me and knew very little about Hendershot..... yea, yea,... I know, you all called it weeks ago. Hes a future HOFer, right? You guys are all giddy about this draft, and how can you not be giddy about oyr last 3 drafts really, but we have a terrible GM....lol

I used to dislike Baldinger who had some old feud with the Cowboys.

However, when he describes some of our players in that awestruck tone, it sends chills up my spine. I can't help but feel inspired.

Maybe they can sign him early. God I used to no like him. But he has become one of our best defenders.

Nastier blocker than Kittle for sure.

And Ferguson blocks like he's much bigger than he's listed, not even 250.

But lordy, when Tyler's on the move he is putting on a run blocking clinic. Love watching him pull.

Ferguson will eventually be a better blocker and receiver than Schultz. We won't miss Schultz after this season.

These two were doing an incredible job of blocking last night. I noticed live but seeing these replays is even more impressive

What's ironic is Matt Farniok totally dominated every block by himself in this gif tweet, yet not 1 darn mention of his amazing performance.

I need to see some more according to this breakdown hendershot did well but I seen him whiff like Shultz on a couple of plays as well I seen Ferguson play and block extremely well

I’m not ready to throw Shultz to the curb yet but I’m thinking bout it

Ferguson and Hendershot rightfully deserve a long and fruitful career with the Cowboys! Both TEs are great in what they do. :flagwave:
