With or without TO? Sorry I'm a fish ;)

Without TO... just to appease some fans...

It doesnt matter that Jerry said that TO is coming back
It doesnt matter that he lead the LEAGUE in TD's... prob will again next year
It doesnt matter that he made the offense better
It doesnt matter that the clubhouse and teammates like him
It doesnt matter...
It doesnt matter...
It doesnt matter...
It doesnt matter...

All that matters is... he is TO and he had too many drops:rolleyes:

This thread reminds me of the day that Parcells was hired.

Yeah... I just hope there is a little fire in Wade's belly than Bill's.... a more aggressive philosophy would be good too...

better than pure anti-cowboys
That comment is ridiculous. You seem to have a problem with anything negative towards this team. There are things to be negative about and worth debate. Calling me anti-Cowboy is a farce. Did I want to go in a different direction as far as head coach? Yes I did and still do. Wade would not have been my choice, but he's decent and I'll live with it. Time will prove me right on needing a whole new direction. In in a few years, many more will agree with me if we continue to stagnate. Sorry to offend you on such a regular basis. Common sense and the truth hurt sometimes.

it must suck to be so miserable
LOL. I'm not at all miserable. We'll see who's right in the long run. I just hope it's not another 4 years of the SAME OLD THING.

Eh, the first year there's going to be kinks to be worked out. Wade is going to have to get familiar with players on defense and Garrett is going to have to get familiar with players on offense. Plus who knows what Garrett's playcalling prowess is. I generally find that guys who played a skill position and then work under offense their entire assistant coaching career tend to be real pass happy and neglect running the ball.

And as always, avoiding injuries is no gimme in the NFL.

YAKUZA
Good points. The foundation for heartache is building in this thread and elsewhere. Let's win a playoff game first -- that would be the first in 11-12 years for us and the first for Wade ever (as NFL HC).

On edit: And let me be clear, I love this hire.

Maybe.

The only difference was that Parcells had some actually skins on the wall as Head Coach.

Im excited about what he will do with our Defense, not too sure how the other aspects of the team will turnout.

- Mike G.

We have the talent and skills to go far, now we have some fresh ideas coming in that can produce a much needed spark to our D. I'm expecting the playoffs at the very least:cool:

I'd just be happy with a division title and/or a playoff win. Super Bowl is quite a stretch.

That's a pretty realistic point of view Mike.

Certainly a little better than going "ga-ga" over Wade Phillips who may or may do well depending upon many variables-- but to proclaim this to be a "Super Bowl" bound team is ludicrous.

Exactly, the naive optimism. Very few realists on this thread.

Don't ever agree with me. It makes me have to reconsider my positions and change so as to avoid looking like a troll.

Pure homerism.

But you're not a troll...

Here's betting the only time you've ever wagered on football, it was to be AGAINST the Cowboys...

Yes, there are... but slagging on a fellow Cowboys fan for what I saw as a bit of whimsy goes well beyond that... and it DOES betray a certain anti-Cowboys bent in your opinionating...

Wade would not have been my choice, but he's decent and I'll live with it.

All this ranting and raving, over a coach you call "decent"?? One shudders to think what kind of meltdown you would have treated us all to if you thought the choice sucked...

Common sense and the truth hurt sometimes.

You say that as if you have even a nodding acquaintance with common sense...

If this is you when you're content, you must be one joyless PITA to be around in the real world...

And once again, a cynic confuses pessimism with "realism"...
