Beebe could be seen as a future replacement for Zack Martin after the 2024 season. I expect Martin to retire next year. Bass could also be seen as a potential future replacement for either Beebe at center or Martin at right guard. With Martin getting older, and both Martin and Tyler Smith missing a couple games apiece last year due to injuries, it is important to have depth available at all 3 interior Oline positions. If you have 3 players cross trained at both guard and center, that is a plus for the team.

Solari is dangling the carrot for Bass, Hoffman and Beebe - as he should as the coach. There should be no rush to anoint a winner at the position in May. Let the competition play out. Also, you never know who might get injured during the summer. It's better to have all the players working for starting opportunities. That goes for the other recently drafted players, and recently signed undrafted players.

Because Carroll fired him.
Because he sucked.
Their OL sucked. They keep reshuffling every year.

They drafted LT Charles Cross in the first round and RT Abraham Lucas in the third round in 2022 and traded for RG Gabe Jackson and signed C Austin Blythe. Then drafted RG Anthony Bradford in the 4th round and C Olu Oluwatimi in the 5th round of the 2023 draft. Signed C Evan Brown in free agency in 2023. Signed LG Laken Tomlinson to replace Damien Lewis who they lost in free agency in 2024.

2021 Seahawk OL
LT Duane Brown
LG Damien Lewis
C Kyle Fuller
RG Gabe Jackson
RT Brandon Shell

2022
LT Charles Cross
LG Damien Lewis
C Austin Blythe
RG Gabe Jackson
RT Abraham Lucas

2023
LT Charles Cross
LG Damien Lewis
C Evan Brown
RG Anthony Bradford
RT Abraham Lucas

2024

LG Laken Tomlinson
C Olu Oluwatimi
RG Anthony Bradford
RT Abraham Lucas

It's called coaching them up.
Doing more with less.
But nope, the poor run blocking and pass blocking numbers date back to 2016 and 2017 as OL coach of the Giants as well.
2018 -2021 was with Seattle whereas, like I said, in 2022 Carroll fired him.
In his 7 total years of previous to Dallas coaching, his passblocking cracked the top 10 once(9th)with Wilson as could be expected.
Both passblock and run block numbers were bottom 5 to 10 for the entirety thereafter.

He'll do less with more now that he has more talent to work with.

He's not some OL coach savant or guru like many here make him out to be. The poor oline scheme and lack of execution of said scheme will show itself AGAIN this year just like it did last year.

The hope is that the oline talent level can overcome the coaching tbh.
