I do agree but then I also see both sides of the debate. A debate that will never end until some form of a playoff system is put into place.

I think Boise has a good team but how good? As you said they do not have to face many ranked teams while a team like LSU is going to see 4 to 5 ranked teams every year. Teams in the big conferences have a very big uphill battle to achieve a shot at a NC while teams like Boise do not.

The bottom line is that, regardless of how good Boise is, they don't have to earn what they get like BCS conference teams do. They shouldnt be in the national title game over OU or Bama or LSU or Wisconsin because they didnt earn it.

I agree but as I said this debate will always come up as long as there are no playoffs. No one can say if Boise would win or not.

What we do know, teams like LSU,Bama and OU will have to face some tough teams to have a chance so their wins vs ranked teams should and do hold more weight.

It should be very clear that the margin of error diminsihes greatly as the number of teams included goes up. In NCAA hoops for example, nobody would ever argue that the 66th team was a national title contender--there beef is just not getting to be in the tourney.

+1. I mean, ESPN loves to make a big deal out of "bubble teams" that got left out unfairly but fact is once the tournament begins, no one says a single word about any of those "bubble teams."

But in football, you have legit contenders who get left out all the time. I'll never forget an undefeated Auburn team from 7 years ago that got left out in the cold.

I am waiting on the sooners to have their loss. Not being mean but it seems like they will look like world beaters and no one could beat them...only to get beat.
