im gonna be royally pissed when you guys get romped by florida if they beat alabama.

my analysis of the national championship is that OU would destroy alabama but florida would destroy OU, specially concidering its pretty much a home game

i think he is saying that ** has the homefield advantage basically, and right now, they look unbeatable. You have to be honest with yourself.....OU has nowhere near the defense that ** has.

Everyone thought Florida State would destroy us in Miami in 2000 but we showed up and outplayed them despite FSU having a virtual homefield advantage.

I'd rather play Bama, though... it'd be nice to have another shot at Nick Saban.

Also, I have a lot of respect for Bama fans. They're pretty classy.

As much as I dislike it, I can live with OU jumping us slightly......not too many sour grapes there...

On a positive note, at least the BCS kept ** behing both OU and UT, just they way it should be.

BTW, in the tiebreaker system I wanted, OU would have won anyway....since I wanted margin of victory. The OU route of TT pretty much clinched it for them, since the other two games were close.

well excuse me for stating my opinion, i guess i thought maybe thats what forums were for, MY mistake! i said OU would beat alabama, how is that me having sour grapes? i just dont think your defense can stop florida, and their defense can at least hold yall down to 30-35 points. its just my opinion, of course anythign can happen

ya but the difference is that OU had a GREAT defense that year, and a great defense travels well no matter where your playing. florida state didnt have much of an offense either, compared to what we are seeing now. and i dont think they had a great player either like tebow who can take over games. like i said its just my opinion, i just think OU would match up much better with alabama. ps i think only texas and florida could beat OU, and i mean the entire country!

I know Texas can beat OU ....but I think ** and Bama are the only other two teams who have a legit shot to do so.

i dont think alabama has any shot against OU unless saban completely outcoaches stoops. i mean lets be honest who has alabama beat that has proven to be a really, really good team?

you know, looking at the bcs standings, if there is some kind of controversy in the sec title game, there is a chance that florida might not jump texas in the rankings, it would have to be somethign ridiculous though like OU vs Oregon a couple years ago

Florida State had been destroying people on both sides of the ball that year, and they had the Heisman Trophy winner at QB in Weinke.

I don't think it really matters Biggs. If Florida beats Bama, then Florida Goes. If Bama beats Florida, Bama is in. Texas will fall behind and have no chance to play for a NC by virtue of the fact that they are idle. If OU fails to beat Missouri, which is very unlikely IMO, then it could be possible for Texas to have a shot. If OU beats Missouri, then it's the winner of the SEC and OU that will play for the title.

Have you forgotten the last two bowl games Oklahoma has been in and talking about outcoaching? Just something to consider.

Personally I think Florida beats Bama and Oklahoma beats Missouri to line up a Oklahoma vs Florida NC game. Which should be a good game.
