Cutler leads the league in "what the hell was he thinking" throws.

Just what I was thinking. On a day when there's a thread talking about appreciating Romo, Bears-vintage Jay Cutler seems like a QB that would be far more frustrating to root for. He's clearly talented but he bugs me, in a Jeff George kinda way. I never knew it was possible for a QB to "throw like a jerk" but he pulls it off... :D

They're so top tier they think they can cover 3 receivers with just 2 defensive backs.
They were just trying to let the Titans secondary how much their earlier performance inspired them.

If we get "Magic" Romo and the defense is solid it will be a good game. If we get Romo on a bad day it could be ugly.
It's so hard to know which team will show up for Dallas. :(

On the bright side of things, this will be a GREAT opportunity to gain real momentum in the division.

At the end of the day, it's not about quality, it's about numbers. I don't care about style points.

Come December, no one is even going to remember these games or how they were won or lost.

Agreed. The story will probably be completely different come December. However, it's not December yet, and I'm merely offering an evaluation based on what I've seen thus far.

It's true that a team's win total is the only important statistic at season's end. It's also true that teams that make the sort of mistakes the Cowboys do are far less likely to make the playoffs.

We're not really disagreeing.

I'm just of a mind set that even now just looking at these two teams play, there's nothing they're doing that's suggesting that they're a top tier team.

All of these teams, including the 'boys, are in that "I can lose as easily as I can win tier" just like the 'boys.

Totally agree. Neither one of the teams playing tonight is a top tier NFC team -- a place reserved for the Saints, Vikings, and Giants. But the Falcons at least are in the tier of wildcard teams.

The Cowboys, in my opinion, are currently in the tier of .500 teams.

Yet, after tonight, there will be five teams, including the Cowboys, that are 3-2 and tied for the second wild card spot.

Oh no he didn't!

Collinsworth said the Falcons QB/WR/RB combo were "almost like the triplets."

Uh, no. Not even close.

In essence, we'll have a cluster of borderline playoff/.500 teams, and one 4-1 wildcard front runner.

When we consider the Cowboys' turnover differential and their penchant for untimely penalties, it becomes apparent why we currently might be more inclined to place them in the tier of .500 teams rather than wildcard teams.

All of this will very likely change as the season progresses.

Then he threw Gonzo in there and said they were almost quadruplets.

I'm sick of hearing about Matt Ryan, and I'm very excited about the Cowboys game next week. It's an opportunity for them to make a statement, and for Romo to outplay Ryan.

We don't intercept anyone. I'd imagine you will be snapping.

Twenty-seven games have passed since any Cowboys safety intercepted a pass. They're due!:p:

I'm not sick of Ryan, but I would like to see an outstanding performance by Romo. Actually, just an overall good performance by the TEAM might be good enough.
