No it isn't.

I went with the overboard sarcastic comments because everytime someone is cut, someone ALWAYS comes in and says we need to sign them.

When I opened the thread, superpunk had already done it. So I merely chimed along, laying it on extra thick (like barbecue sauce on a chicken....the thicker the sauce, the better).

Mmmmm.....barbecue chicken.....

Uh....anyway, so I did that and someone took it seriously. So I had some fun with it. No harm was done.

And the subsequent replies/posts were filled with even more dripping sarcasm....so....dunno.

I am going to go cook me some barbecue chicken though, and with that, I am being super serial.

As I said 5Stars "I'm not a mod and while I think it is silly it is not a big deal to me."

does anyone else think that this is lame?
It got old pretty quick.

As for Tank Johnson, I wonder if Bears got the result of blood test already? Regardless, Tank has no one to blame but himself for this mess.

I think this has more to do w/ the fact that Tank was out at 3:30 in the morning and gave a cop reason to believe that he was under the influence, they probably feel that he was cutting it too close, even if it does turn out that he was clean, and it's only a matter of time before he gets into trouble again

this is a pre-emptive strike on the Bear's part IMO

They told him he had NO degree for error. They probably told him, look, we don't want to hear your name and arrest in the same sentence even if it's for jaywalking. So he decides to go out at 3:30am and speed around a bit.

I would hope that Jerry isn't that short-sighted. PacMan's released, you've got to look at rehabilitation possibilities. The guy already cut his dreds.
:lmao2:

Funniest thing I've seen all day.

If you're not being sarcastic, no they don't need to, but they can certainly think all they want.

per ESPN.....Umm if blood test come back clean we might, hmmmm

I salute the Bears. The NFL will always have rogues, but these players are looked up to by lots of kids and the consequences have to be harsh when they step out of bounds of decency and the law.

Unlike Goodell, the Bears mean what they say. None of this "His suspension might be shortened" stuff.

The bears decided this guy was bad news and moved on.

Goodell, take a cue from the Bears.

I agree with you but personally, I believe teams should levi punishments on players, rather than the commissioner. The players are employees of a team and it is the team's responsibility to take care of their players, not commissioner.

Should a team fail to act on players' misconduct then the commissioner should step in (re:Titans) but should allow teams to take actions.
