No negativity here. Just some concerns. I will take 16 wins like last night, no problem.:)

Because it was ugly and many of the same problems exist. They are not going to be gifted 6 turnovers every week. People want to see a good, strong team instead we saw a team that had all the breaks go their way and still almost found a way to lose. I'm happy for the win and will take it every time but this team isn't really that much different for the last few years. Yes, they created turnovers but if they can't keep that up, they will have a very hard time staying with good teams.

Agreed, let's enjoy this. Come Playoff time 1 win is 1 win and every win is one step closer to getting in, no matter how you win it.

I agree the overall attitude being overly negitive but that is pretty normal around here. Team did a lot of good things on the night and yes did some things that need to be cleaned up. However this was also a big game vs a Division opponet one who always battles us tough and we are sitting 1-0 while they are 0-1 and will be facing Den with a real chance of falling 0-2 to start the season. Our fans need to learn how to enjoy the wins.

its so hard to win in this league every week. enjoy it.

Ain't that the darn truth! Seems like there are more "fans" coming out of the woodwork that demand instant success, lopsided scores every week, sorta like real life was "Madden". I'm pleased with the victory first and foremost, especially with the folks we were missing on the D-Line, and when they introduced the O-line and Mac was at guard, had a feeling it would be dicey at best. Take it any damn way you can get it! We will improve!

Gifted? BS Dallas went out and took it. People want to see perfectioin well that is not going to happen Dallas did some things that need to be corrected they also did a lot of good things out there that so called fans just allow to go over their heards. Fact is for many it seems if they are not complaining they are not happy.

It's easy to feel depressed, sad, and suicidal no matter what happens. You can win 5 games straight and there is a reason to be on suicide watch.

They do this, and behave this way so when we do mess up, their depression is justified, and can say I told you so.

They just do it for attention around here, you will soon come to notice that.

I think what a lot of "fans" need to realize was that almost every game yesterday were "ugly" at some point.

What I would say about this is that there were many flaws in the Cowboys win. I would rather win ugly and have the coaching staff fix the flaws for the next week, than win a game like week 1 of last year, and get blown out because of the lack of adjustments that were made.

Gifted 6 turnovers? Give me a break. This new defense was implemented specifically to generate more turnovers, and now that it does we're going to call them "gifts"? HA.

And how exactly did they almost find a way to lose? The game I watched had the Cowboys taking the lead 5 minutes into the 2nd quarter and holding it for the REST OF THE GAME.

But by all means, if you want to complain about the things that almost happened instead of being satisfied with the things that actually did happen, go right ahead.

So true, you couldn't be more dead on. It's the bizarre cycle that a large portion of our fan base goes through every year.

We're only guaranteed 16 games of Cowboys football every year. I'll be damned if I'm not going to enoy the wins.

This was a perfect game for the Cowboys! I say that in all seriousness too. Let's look at it as a whole:

The good:

High effort - this can't be stressed enough
Turnovers - Again something that has been lacking around these parts
Good Pass blocking - now to get the run blocking up to par - enter Waters
Strong running - We didn't get a lot of yards but I thought the run game was effective. It was just good enough that on 3rd and 2, they had to play the run as well.
Pressure - Didn't get a lot of sacks but I thought the front 4 made Eli uncomfortable.

The Bad -
Got to figure out the middle of the field on passing downs
Not taking advantage of the turnovers
Rookie mistakes
Blown coverage

But the bottom line is this: every coach in the world would love this game. Won the game but didn't play as good as we could have. Getting the W is the most important thing. However, having good film to coach up is very important. Enough mistakes were made last night that it will not be hard to get the team to focus and play hard next week. I would have loved to be sitting there not sweating at the end of the game, knowing we should have put this one away early in the game. But if I am Garrett today, I am thrilled with the way this turned out in the end.

I'm just curious but how do you bring up concerns/areas needing improvement without being labeled "negative". Is there any room for constructive criticism or is anything short of lollipops and rainbows considered "negative"?
