Dude is starting today for the Jets. If he is so banged up why is he starting? With all our safety issues I think we may regret not making a move for him. May have lost on the bidding but we didn't even look his way.

Maybe Reed really wanted to go play for Rex Ryan again. Would mean there was really no trigger to pull. Besides, we likely don't have money to go after a player when we don't absolutely need him to fill a spot vacated by injury.

We should have at least looked into it. We have Huff a tryout the day he got cut. He would have only costed around 400k.

Good point PickSix, if you could play somewhere on a defense in the NFL, why on earth would you pick Dallas? Who wants to be the caboose on this crazy train?

He wanted to play with a team that has a chance to win the SB, that eliminates Dallas.

He thought that the Texans were getting out coached. Do you honestly think that Garrett is a better coach than anyone on the Texans?

Well, in fairness to the Texans, clearly, their coaching got a lost worse all of a sudden this season. They were excellent coaches last year, and then just forgot or whatever here in 2013. The Falcons have the same problem.

I'm confused. The Texans have the #1 defense in the NFL. They dumped Reed, not the other way around.

Really wasnt a point in getting him. Were not a sb contender this year and probably wont even make the playoffs a safety wasnt going to change that.

With this DL you could have 4 HOFers in the secondary in their prime and it wouldnt matter. BTW if Reed was critical of how things were done in Houston, what do you think he would have said about this place?

Ed Reed went where someone knew him. In an open market I suspect he was likely headed to the Jets. We would have had to claim him to get him here, and the numbers were supposedly north of a million for 6 games.
