let me first say I’m rooting hard for MM to get us where we want to go. the media has been trying hard to paint a narrative if we lose to GB, or even the divisional round, JJ should fire MM.

if that were to happen would you want BB or Saban?
Dude are you trying to be funny like are you a comic are you seriously considering saving who fell on his face in Miami who decided to retire in Alabama because he's burnt out and you want that guy here over Bill Belichick how about this Harbaugh from Michigan versus Belichick hell I might even consider Pete Carroll over saving saving was a total flop I don't even know how you're considering the guy how about we just bring urban Myers back to the NFL how about Chip Kelly how about that guy from Atlanta the Arkansas coach right you do realize that just because you were good in college doesn't mean you're good in the pros and that's already been proven Nick Saban was a bust and there's no way I'm bringing him here.,.

Both will take a year off, and most likely Saban will just stay retired. He will show up on a college game day show. Even if just part time.

Bill, if he takes a HC position, he will not want to rebuild a team. He will take a team that is close to being ready to win. Such as Seattle, who rely needs a young franchise QB. He would not go to the mess in Washington.
I fear Lurie throwing the kitchen sink at him, Harbaugh or Vrabel....... if the Eagles don't make it to the NFCCG. The Eagles are as close to being Super Bowl ready as they will get and to have THREE top-tier coaches out there will be too good to pass up IMO.

This thread = hot garbage
Then why bother reading it, and add zero content to this garbage thread? The OP was interested in which of the two hall of fame coaches would you want to coach here, if that was ever to happen...your reply is far more garbage than the idea behind the thread. \

That being said OP, I guess BB? But I don't think he comes here, and doubt Saban wants to coach again

Saban has already said he’s done coaching. Said the grind is too much for him now.

Bill makes the most sense. A loss this round will guarantee that MM is out

DQ is likely gone after this year. Al Harris might follow him. We’d need a strong defensive presence again, which Bill brings.

Give Will his raise, don’t let Bill deal with personnel, and get a young, up-and-coming offensive coordinator that Dak meshes well with. At the very least in that scenario, we won’t be any worse than we are now.

Please let me know what defensive specialty head coach has won the Super Bowl in the last four years?

Give me the one who's had continuous success in the NFL

Neither, give me a bright young HC with a great offensive mind and the rest will fall in place.

Belichick needs 26 more wins to catch Shula, and one more than that to surpass him. Realistically - seeing that he's likely to land at a rebuilding program - that's three (at best) or four (realistically) more seasons. At age 71, it doesn't make sense for him to take a year off if reaching the top of that mountain is indeed his ultimate goal.

Saban was a disaster in the NFL. He couldn’t handle the players or the media. He told everyone there was no truth to the rumors he was heading back to college football and 2 days later he was on a plane to Alabama. Plus he’s in his 70s. As for Belichick he’s not coming to Dallas. You guys need to give it up!

I think Saban could have done all right as a defensive coordinator in the NFL. His schemes at Bama were very sophisticated for college and used a lot of pro-style concepts. He's not like most college coaches... it's not like Chip Kelly trying to use a 50 play playbook, or Urban Meyer trying to call QB power a dozen times a game.

That being said, I don't think he would have hit the heights of success in the NFL that he did in college. Personality-wise, Saban is an absolute dictator, and that's where the problem is at. You can be a dictator in college, but it's much harder in the NFL.

At Bama, Saban was the center of the universe. Admin was on their knees and gave him unlimited job security, boosters gave him endless money, players were absolutely beholden to him, coordinators were lining up to join the Nick Saban Coaching Rehab Clinic... But in the NFL, all of those guys have competing careers and agendas. Assistants can leave, players can leave, owners will meddle, GMs will butt heads with you over players, etc. You are closer to being a clown in the circus, than you are to being the ringleader.

Belichick is the same way. At the height of the Patriots dynasty, he had similar levels of control to Saban, but he won't get that again. It'll be a long time before another NFL coach will.

Saban is going to make a fortune on College Gameday and golf every day
My issue with Belichek is who would run the offense? Josh McDaniels? Yuck! Bill O'Brian? Puke!

I'll pass on both. BB is nothing without Brady and the other already quit on an NFL team.

I guess it depends on which one comes riding into Dallas on a unicorn holding a bottle with a genie inside wanting to give Jerry three wishes. If that doesn't happen why would anyone want either of them.
