This team needs to give us a reason to believe. Until then, they're just the same group of late-season losers that they have always been. Why should I get excited and make a bunch of "rah-rah" posts about a team that clearly doesnt care about sacking up and finishing strong?

The Dallas Cowboys will never have to earn fans, but they do have to earn positive fan support. Right now, this bunch of overpaid stiffs deserve every last negative and hateful comment that has been thrown their way by the fans and media. They've spent years earning it, At some point, the blind support of a failed product simply has to cease.

It's call "Faith". The belief in something without any supporting evidence.

Why do you think they don't care? I could never understand those type comments like "this team didn't show up" or "this team doesn't care". How do fans like us really know this? I've seen nothing in this team since Parcels took over that made me certain we didn't show up or try in a game.
We've certainly failed from time to time. Certainly played below expectations or ability on many occasions.
But that happens to all teams one time or another. Sometimes the other teams just better.

Right now (this team or any team for that matter who still has a post-season chnce) does not deserve negativity from it's fans!

Save that for the after the season. If they fail, I'll lead the touch lite mob to Jerry and Wade front porch.

Since the advent of the salary cap, the "best" team rarely wins the Super Bowl.

The Steelers were by no means the best team in the NFL last season, nor were the NYFG the year before, they just were just the best team on the field each particular day they played in the playoffs.

I truly believe that Dallas can win the Super Bowl this season. The Saints are primed for a beatdown. Fair officiating and Dallas walks away with this one easily then does it again in January.

Religion is about faith. Sports are about tangible results. Where in the big book of fandom does it say that fans have to always be positive regardless of what the team does?

I'd argue that periodic negativity when it is warrented makes one a better fan than someone who always jolly and positive regardless of the situation. It means you are willing to accept mediocrity.

Reading this board, you'd think we were fans of the Cardinals or Saints, that we are fans of a team that has always been awful and we are happy about any little thing. We are fans of the Dallas ****ing Cowboys and we should demand better.

When I say support must cease, I don't mean you cease being a fan or stop caring altogether. No true fan can just stop caring about their team

If you "cease" supporting your team, then why be a fan? That makes absoutely no sense what-so-ever.

You can be critical, yes, and be a fan. But to "cease" any support and call yourself a fan is some of the dumbest logic I have ever read.

We have been given about as little respect as possible this week.

They are talking about resting starters in the second half, taking a knee late like last time.....bla bla bla. I dont think I have ever seen a fanbase/media/team be as arrogant as the saints are this week.

We basically are going there to be beat by 50 if you listen to all the talk.

All the national media...(good), Local Media (Double Good) and fans of every other team are laughing at Dallas and have given them no chance the rest of the way.....Its ridiculous.

so any chance the "fans" of this team could just stand up and believe in our team for once.

I made this back in 07, it was the ending of my 07 in review video.....Some of the players are different, but the message is the same.....

I think you are mistaken. almost everyone belives. almost everyone is supportive. voicing your dicontent and frustration is different than not being supportive. everyone is going to sit in front of the TV on saturday and chew their nails, be on the edge of their seat, scream when we make a big play and urghhh when we give up a big play. its that most are not idealistic any longer. no more fantasies. lets face reality and the frustration is that we do have a good team. we are close. we have the talent but haven't been able to get over the hump yet.

I want to believe. I want to believe badly. I just don't. Dallas is their own worst enemy and even if they do show up Saturday they will just find a way to lose the game.
