Only a few HOMERs here in the zone believed RATLIFF would play and be good this year....he had been injured for what seems like years now...RATLIFF is done and was done a few years ago, right after he got PAID. TOXIC AVENGER

That's depth!! Ratliff has been a declining player for three years now, aging and over paid, and which idiot gave him a five year extension with two and a half years left on his deal and is often injured the last couple of years..
Crawford was drafted to play end in a 3-4 defense......in 4-3 now...unknown what he brought..the expectations are what, the same as they had for Lissimore, and where is he now. Spencer is a little short to play defensive end in a 4-3 and certainly hasn't lived up to what Dallas thought they were getting when they drafted him, although he has shown spurts, but not nearly often enough and Bass is a utility player at best, so there isn't really any top notch starting players a long the defensive line other than Ware. Hatcher is really a defensive end playing tackle...pretty much a poor mans mixed bag on the defensive line....

After this year, Ratliff is certainly gone, Spencer probably too since I don't see dallas giving him a long term deal and Hatcher will probably test free agency...

What on Earth are you talking about? You're seriously blaming Jerry for the DL injuries?

He said we had a deep DL... he didn't say it would remain deep even if we lost Spencer, Ratliff, Crawford, and Bass.

unless they were injured. we had plenty of dline guys. no way to predict two of your tackles would be injured
floyd has played one qtr in the pre season. you want to know why? he was injured so how would that help you

Major DL overhaul coming next year. We could easily see 4-5 new faces in that unit.

But... I don't blame the FO. There are only so many things you can fix at a time. If healthy, the DL would be fine.
