Some wanted Dalton to take the place of Dak from the jump. While others wouldn't mind the 7th round rookie getting a chance to upend Dak starting position. So let see both under center, since there is no reason to leave any stone unturned when it comes to quarterback with Dak being out..
I am just teasing you. But let’s get back to Dinucci. This could be the best chance he ever gets to show his worth. Believe me Dinucci wants the opportunity because he could solidly his position in the league.
Cowherd's point when Dalton was 5 seasons younger....Andy sucks!!What would be the point of getting DiNucci in, exactly?

My wish is Dalton never got a start. Great back-up for 1.5 games. Once Dak's season was over we should have gone to DiNucci immediately. I think that was McCarthy's plan as he mentioned DiNucci name and getting reps in the Presser following Dak's injury. So basically, you posted this just to tell everybody, again, what you think about Dalton? Whatever, you'll get your wish here soon enough.

Dalton is not and will never be a viable option. He was an average leader at his best. Now he sucks and Professionals don't listen to players who suck especially older players with zero skins on the wall.
As far as Colin........I've been consistent.....Cowherd will say anything
Fair enough, I think DiNucci is better than Dalton at this point and logically into a successful season. Dalton arm and body would not last a season into a play-off run. It's proven by the fact the game is too fast for Andy at this point 32yrs old. DiNucci feet set-up and wrist flick on his pass to Cooper (only bright spot I conceed) is the best raw talent since Romo.I don't agree with that. You have no idea where DiNucci is in his development. Can he start and does he give you the best chance to win? I mean, there is no question in my mind that Dalton is better then DiNuccie at this point. I see no reason to throw DiNucci in at this point, unless absolutely necessary. The guy needs all the reps, all the practices he can get at this point but it may be that he gets the start next week. Time will tell. The thing is, when he's the next man up, there is nobody behind him so no matter how bad it gets, it's him. That's a tough place to put a rookie in.

I will eat crow if proven wrong, but I think DiNucci wins 5 more games this season. Time will tell. I agree Sir
I understand your train of thought which has been successful way for many teams but I think the era of sitting young QBs is over especially if the starter is NOT a starter anymoreI think that if you put any QB in this league back there with that OL, right now, they are all going to show the same results and that is an L. I get it, some will throw for more yards, some will throw fewer yards, some will end up out for the season but all of them are more then likely going to post Ls and that's the only stat that matters in this game. So Dalton is likely gone next year. Why not play him and give DiNucci as many practice reps as he can get before you have to play him. We have like 10 games to play still and we are down to our third string guy once DiNucci gets the call. Since Dak has gone out, DiNucci has been getting second team reps. Get him as many of those as you can before you have to go to him. Give him as much of a fighting chance as you can because once he's in the fire, he's gonna get burned. It's just a matter of to what degree and what percentage he gets burned. When he goes in, it's going to be ugly and as I said, there is nobody who can come to his rescue. The kid could get ruined very easily.
