Attention. The player has not had a set back. His return date has been set back. Apparently because he's right on schedule.

Between this and the Lawrence carted off thing its pretty obvious the media has an axe to grind.

Media didnt start this. OP just didnt understand Broaddus' tweet

that's a bit misleading since he played many games hobbled by injury but didn't sit out...

He's missed 4 games in two years in Cincy. Clearly he hasn't had a miraculous turn around there as suggested

So people don't want Josh Brent who has proven to be a solid contributor at the NFL level, but the same people are wondering about this guy and checking on his status?

I see what you're getting at... I was thinking of the old Terrence argument about him not being injured that much.

Some of you want to give up on a player who may have been the best defensive lineman in the Pac-10, who had no history of injuries before the current catastrophic injury he is rehabbing, on a team with maybe two difference makers on the defensive line, with no options to upgrade in FA and all before they have even played one preseason game?

Im convinced the facepalm was invented for some of the posters on this site...

Its his shoulder. He should be be back soon. Ths isnt a new injury. It has to do with what he's beem rehabbing

I know you are really high on this guy since he was drafted, I hope he turns out to be a player.

I am but if he isnt practicing next week i dont think he will be on the 53 man roster when the season starts. He needs to get on the field. Once he is and he does what he needs to, i think he could be more valuable then Bush or Wilson.

This just speaks to an ignorance in how sports rehab works. The rehab goes by a particular schedule so for example in order for them to clear him to play they need to see that he is able to get X degrees of rotation on the shoulder or the like.

If he was scheduled to come back 2 days ago then they thought he was going to progress to that point. He didn't which means that he isn't getting better which is a set back. It's a progression.

If anyone has an axe to grind it's you about me. The pathetic part is you come into all the threads I start and make comments clearly that are towards me and what I say but try and talk around me. Axe to grind indeed.

Risen if you want to argue my take on the cart report or this and actually have objective people persuaded, it usually helps to actually address my responses.

Was Lawrence carted off the field? Yes or no?

Is this setback related to Gardners injury? Yes or no?

There is absolutely no reason to give up on the guy. People around here give up way too easy.

Why did you not give a special word of the day here? Seemed like the perfect time.

Sorry that I read classics, that it bleeds into my vocabulary, and it offends you. Does it make you feel stupid? I know it does some people. That is not my intent. It's how I talk.

It's just typical southern insecurity. I am used to it by this point.

I have actually tried some introspection to see whether or not I am just trying to 'look smart.' I get this type of stuff a lot. I came up with two things.

First, that I got it from my mother. She encouraged me to read from as early as I can remember and pushed my vocabulary from a very young age. I will be damned before I honor the peanut gallery over her.

Second, I needed to make a standard so that it would not be gratuitous. If I could say what I meant in a shorter form then I would use that. I think anyone can appreciate efficiency. I end up saying very and really a whole heck of a lot more often then I would otherwise but I do make concessions.

I still end up with ridicule from the same type of people over and over again. Oh well.

He is nothing like Johnson or Claiborne, who have had multiple camps with injury issues.

This injury is related to the same left pectoral tear that ended his season last October.

You are right it is nothing like the hamstring issues of Johnson but who knows if it is similar or not to the left shoulder injuries Claiborne had.

What was it you told me? Speak to what you know?
