Is it Draconian when this guy just keeps on screwing up?

I agree that the punishment should be more the more a person screws up but the baseline is excessive i think.

I miss Tagliabue.

Oh well Chris it was fun while it lasted...How long does anyone think he will go before he is resigned by another team?

I wonder how this effects the Bengals draft (if at all). Do they stay put at 9 and take a stud defensive lineman or do they try to trade down to pick up more picks.

He has lots of talent...

And we need a WR...

And we have Calvin Hill...

And look how T.O. turned out!

You do know I'm kidding, right?

T.O. didn't have the off field issues that Henry has. I'm not surprised, at all, that Henry finally burned his last bridge with Cincy. The kid is obviously an idiot and has no ability to learn from his stupid mistakes.

Also I don't think anyone has to worry about picking him up this year anyway. He was suspended for half a year last year, for stupid actions, and now hes in trouble again. he just cost himself, most likely, the entire 2008 season.

That's the part that makes me angry. How many people would die to have his talent? And he pisses it away.

What is interesting is can the NFL suspend him since he is no longer under contract with any team.

I think Antonio Bryant made a similar arguement. I bet he goes to court to get back in, however, I seriously wonder if there will be any takers.

If I was Roger then I'd stay quiet, reviewing the case, till he signed and then suspend his stupid ***.

Of course I'm sure that wouldn't be allowed, or anything, but whatever. I imagine the kid just cost himself the season.

We should absolutely sign him up seeing as how the Cowboys are now becoming the half-way house for the NFL's problem children with talent.

And he's also a vet WR with talent, git r done, Jerrah!

Didn't this guy just serve an 8 game suspension?

By all means, bring the gavel down.

I thought Bryants whole argument was that his incident occurred when he wasn't under contract.

I would sign him to an incentive-laden contraccct for teh veteran minimums.

That is clearly what it would look like. Injuries are a big enough worry but bringing in problem players who are on their last chance seem to be very risky. Myself I would rather stay away from the problem players in this league.

Bryant made the case that the NFL tested him for drugs while he wasn't in a contract with any team, and then proceeded to suspend him once he signed on with a team. His case was that since he was not under contract by any team, he should not have been tested, therefore not have been suspended for testing positive.

Henry's case, this doesn't apply. If he pleads anything but not guilty, he'll be suspended.

Good for them. Send the message.
It only took HOW many incidents...not just to/with him but involving other players before they finally said "enough"???

The Bengals and the league should be ashamed of themselves for letting this go on for so long. They should have set the standard last year when things started going awry. The Bengals as a whole are more of an embarrassment than Adam Jones alone.
