Isn’t he from Texas? Didn’t he go to TCU?
The best thing for him is to sign here or in NE. But here, if he looked at the situation, you could see a path to playing time.
Maybe Dak holds out for a new contract (unlikely) but you never know.
Maybe, since Dak takes some serious hits, (which he does, he is tough as nails) there is a way for him to play in 4-5 games.
If he comes in and balls out with these weapons, he is going to give himself an opportunity to start somewhere next year.
Also, Dalton is highly underrated. The bengals are terrible and he put up pretty good numbers. He throws a beautiful deep ball. He had awful coaching in Marvin Lewis for years. He had A.J. Green but the man is hurt every other day. His running backs have been average at best over the years.
Please sign him Jerry!
The whole proposal just goes against what Dallas envisions.
They have built on paper this scenario of Dak rising to our rescue.
The fly in the ointment is Dak has set his price beyond any logical scenario.
In order for everything to work out for all parties. His, the team, the fans, etc.
Dallas wants everything Dak wants including money. They simply want to see it first.
To make this contract work, Dak needed to win alot more than he has. First.
Not second.
I just do not see this ending happily.
If they do the Tag as they are doing, and Dak does not get at least to the NFC Game..
he will not see the Tag again at higher numbers.
He will be looking at much less talented teams to play for at less money.
