Bennett better get back out there and do something other than tweet and ustream rap songs.

Phillips already has made more of an impact than MartyB.

Still love the kid, but he has to start showing something.

This

and again this

And hes already got Oline skills as a blocker.

They have said if they wanted to they could add 20 or 30 pounds to Bennetts frame and make him our left tackle for the future if they had to.

Hes got so much potential though and if Garrett opens up this Offense he could really turn it on these last few weeks.

You're right... Man think about him at left tackle, OMG talk about athletic!!

That's unreal that Columbo is back that fast. Free has played well, but Columbo would definately be a significant upgrade. Hope he isn't far off from playing shape.

I think Jerry makes good personel decisions.

Don't try to talk common sense to idiots. Don't you know Jerry's a moron? We can't draft, we can't make good FA signings, we just don't know talent.........Blah....blahblah....blahblah........blahblah.

Anything that does work out for us in talent acquisition is dumb luck or anyone but Jerry's idea.

Anyone think one may have had something to do with the other?

Wow I thought Columbo was out for the year...good news.

it was said from day one 4-6 weeks before he could practice so its about right.

Bennett has too much of an ego to take a downgrade and become a OT.

Irrational?

I'm not hating on him. I'm just pointing out the obvious. If you didn't notice the game against the Saints - Phillips made a few key plays.

I honestly can't think of any game where MartyB was memorable. Except maybe for last year when he caught the game winner.

Downgrade? OTs make hellava more money then TEs do. How is that a downgrade?

I agree.....I like Phillips better right now: he's just dependable. AS for Columbo: this is exciting. If we could get into the playoffs and have a fresh, healthy Columbo I'm all for it: sorry, just not a Free fan the way some of you are in here. He's serviceable, but that's it. Decent against the pass and mediocre in the run game IMO. Columbo is the much better player when healthy obviously.

Why? Because he can push around 200 pound punk CBs after the play? Free is a much better pass blocker and Columbo's man was causing alot of pressure most of the year. The OL's pass blocking has improved over the last couple of weeks and I think they are finding a bit of a groove again. I would leave things as they are.

Free will be the LT next year.

Bennett is a waste... hopefully Jerry will see that when he returns!

Free is playing ok right now do we really want to mess with that and throw a rusty Colombo out there?

Downgrade? In who's eyes? Give me the best LT over the best TE in the game every day.

And the money isn't even close. LT's get PAID.

If you could be a TE who gets 20 balls a year come your way, and you catch 10 of them, vs being a big time starting LT, which would you choose?

Its not even close.

Even A-Rod went to 3rd base.

Yep. Nice point. I'd take LT ever single time. Not even close. Love that position.
