Good evening.
As it should play Bennet Martellus in the offensive line, he plays more open or closed to leave Jason W free from demarcation.

....Yup!

I'm sure he will be used to block a lot more so we can get Witten lined up in a WR spot more often. He is supposed to be a pretty good blocker but hopefully can learn the playbook better!

I agree. I think we are going to be able to run a double TE option much more and leave Bennett to block and maybe even sneak past the D line in short yardage situations. Having two TE's that can catch will make us dangerous with as long as Garrett stays creative.

He will most certainly be the blocking TE, but I think you could see him in the redzone package quite a bit too. He has some great leaping ability.

Actually we got 3 TEs who can catch. In fact Curtis caught 4 passes in 07 but 3 were TDs. That's why he was beating out Fasano for #2 TE position this year.

Thats where he can be dangerous if he turns out to be good. He can run block, which is good for goal line situations, and he can use his leaping ability for the passing plays. That would make it difficult for the defense to read considering he can do it both. The season can't get here fast enough.

So says some journalist, based on rumors he heard.

Wonder what they were basing it off of? Must have been all the practices and drills they weren't running in February or March.

However you slice it, the pub on Curtis has been good, and you can't argue with his production last year.

I like Curtis, and still feel Bennett was a total waste of a pick and resources.

Me too. Really a project it sounds like. Kinda high. All for a guy who will never start. Makes no sense. Securing BACK UP TE was the least of our needs. Actually as we were TE may have been the strongest positions!

He better concentrate on the play book--he does not know it from my understanding.

yes, I agree completely.

So it is. I should have checked that.
I hate to question a fellow Cowboy fan, but words like 'demarcation' are unique words to use awkwardly. And signing off 'Hug' is the kind of thing you do if you're mistranslating a common idiom. His posts read like something Leotis might write, if he were, you know, from Brazil. Style points for him, though, for being legit. And his English is much better than my Portuguese.

Hug,
He is probably using an online Portuguese to English translation tool and "Line of Scrimmage" could come across as "Line of Demarcation."

Remember the French Canadian article about Quincy Carter being released from the CFL team he was on? It translated from French to English that his name was Quincy Crankcase.

Those translators are not perfect by any wild stretch.

I know you guys arent a big fan of this but Patience is going to be the key with this guy.

We took him on his measurables and if he is a hard worker then one day he should be able to produce.

I think he needs to hit the weights and he'll be a legit threat in year 3.

But im sure most of you will have him written off by the 4th preseason game.
