We now have conclusive evidence. Ben said on Leno last night that he didn't score. Want anything more than that?

Yeah, I mean, that's pretty damning evidence.

Ben said on Letterman that HE didn't think it was a score. He was telling Cowher he didn't get in, and that they should go for it
Anything else left to say????????

Yeah. It's over and done with. Nothing can be changed. Get over it.

Well, that's pretty much true- they wouldn't do anything even if they had a smoking gun that proved there was collusion- about the only thing would be one of those "we're sorry" with a sheepish look on their face statements and then some ref will be made a scapegoat and demoted/fired a few years from now ala Fred Swearingen.

It comes down to a matter a milimeters as to if he got in. Personally, I thought he got in at first, but on the replay, I was not sure. Like I said in another thread, it was near impossible for the ref to get the call right live, and my guess is that he believed that Roth's momentum carried the ball over the line. There wasn't enough visual evidence to sway it either way, so you can't really argue this call too much. It wasn't like the call was completely bogus because you can make a strong argument for either side.

Would Roethlisberger have been able to tell if the ball had gotten 1 or 2 inches farther before he got clobbered? That's how close it was. He probably didn't think he got in because when he landed, he was behind the line. Just because he doesn't think he made it doesn't mean he's correct, so it doesn't prove anything.
