Very Simple - Due to Parcells being 65 yrs old next season he has refused and continues to refuse to bite the bullet and either draft a young QB or go with a young QB we can acquire or already have. Dollar Bill continues to try and shortcut the NFL breeding cycle....he got lucky with Vinny in 98' and went to the AFC Title game and that has gone to his head...
So we didn't have a young QB in 2004,2005 or next season 2006. And if we don't win next season with Bledsoe we can be looking at a stretch of 4-5 more seasons of losing as we wait ot groom a young QB after finally admitting we have to.

Worried.

Just who could we have gotten in the last 2 years that would have been good?

That has been my concern since the day we hired him. I had actually hoped he would finish his contract and leave after next year but...

As long as he leaves in 2007, and I believe he probably will, a lot of the other holes should be filled.

The QB position/BP mix is not a good one for the long term future of this team and that has always been my concern.

I like BP to set the foundation in other aspects however.

there is really no reason to say he does'nt like to draft qb's, he has in the past. it could be that he has'nt seen a qb we had a shot at that was worth more than the guy we got.alot of people keep saying we can't go to the super bowl with drew, well which qb last year that we had a shot at was ready to take us to the super bowl. wanting and getting is two different things

Actually I think peterman is LAs replacement. Without a doubt he will be playing that position with the cowboys once LA retires.

Now as for OT. I think petiti has more upside than people give him. For a first year 6th round pick he has performed ok. This offseason and this next season will show us whether or not he can advance as ap layer and become a better O lineman. If he does we should all sing parcells praises. As for the other side we dont need flozell to get hurt next year. at all.

Pretty good, considering Sally. My New Years resolution was to not drink beer, not one ounce for the month of January. That's as realistic as I could be.

I'm miserable.

........and thirsty.

Only you can balance "Pretty good" with "miserable"

It feels "pretty good" to be "miserable"

I think I finally understand why you hang out with Winicki.

Other than Leftwich, there really was no other QB out there that we passed on that could turn out to be a franchise player for the next 10 years. In that same draft, Jerry picked up Henson, so basically we did draft a young qb.

I do agree that we have to draft a qb in the future if Henson does not pan out. We'll see what they do in this draft maybe they do pick up a guy in the 3 or 4th round and groom him. I think we have other glaring needs that we can try and fix this year thru FA's or drafting some young lineman. If we fix that O-line and get a few more pieces, we may be looking at a big run next year.

I like BP and am glad he signed the extension. But there will alwasy be one thing that sticks out with me. How he mighta ruined a franchise QB in Drew Henson.

Henson actually looked better when he first came here then he did after Parcells messed him up.

When we were outta the playoffs in 2004 Parcells was a complete moron thta year. He was happier lettin one of his Boys Vinny pad his stats instead of lettin Henson take over and get him game time. Get a look to see if Henson has IT.

If Henson had started 2005 none of us woulda expected much more then a 6-10 season at best. But I think we woulda seen a improving Henson who in this comin 2006 season coulda had his break out year and played big.

Eli Manning started off lookin like a bust. But Coughlin thought about the future.....not the past like Parcells.

Parcells has done alota great things for this team and he will do more. But he really fd up the QB thing with Henson. That is for sure.

IMO I do NOT wanna see BP draft us a QB of the future. Dont need another QB ruined like he has done to Henson so far.

I could not care less what he's being paid. It's Jerry's money, not mine. Jerry understood the importance of having Parcells at least 2 more years to see this thing through.

Um, a certain Jake Delhomme?

He's only 3 years younger than Bledsoe and hardly a big upgrade. Statistically they had similar years and Terry Glenn is no Steve Smith.

Better? Yeah, but hardly worth crying over.

20/20 hindsight vision is really something isn't it?

This is what the man is paid 4.5 million a year for...to make decisions...

I just don't get it.

Screw up on your job...have your boss come into you and demand "What the heck were you thinking" and respond "Hey boss, 20/20 hindsight vision is really something, isn't it?" and see how long you hold that job.

Someone goes to a doctor...pays a zillion $ for a diagnosis...the doc gives the wrong diagnosis..the patient becomes ill...and when questioned by the family he says "20/20 hindsight...."

I really don't understand why some people extend a benefit of the doubt to Parcells that none of us have extended to ourselves in our daily lives...

Maybe because there is no comparison between the business and operation of an NFL team with that of any regular job that folks like us have....
