Let's not put Felix up there yet. He hasn't played one NFL down yet.

I'm not too sure about Barber. He was excellent in first half againt the Giants in the playoffs but struggled second half. i wouldn't be shocked to see jones/choice be a little better.

I don't agree that Barber himself had much to do with his second half "struggles"--but i do think it's too early to make him an elite back. But it is likely that Dallas' running scheme (blocking, tandem back, play calling, etc.) will be much improved and Barber should benefit from that.

If its a question of the RBs talent, then I agree that they should be higher. If it's a question of production then they are probably about the right place simply because I don't see our OLine blowing open any holes.

It all depends on the right side of the line. Remember, they put up those numbers with Jason Fabini and Todd Wade playing most of the year last year. To me, Randy Thomas is one of the most underrated O-linemen in the league. Take a look at the running game with him and without him in the lineup -- night and day.

Keep in mind that Julius never came in to give Barber a breather during the game..[Julius had 3 attempts the whole game]. IMO, Rb's need a backup to give them a breather. [See LT and Turner]

Also..it didn't help that our O-Line was getting man handled by the Giants D-line in the second half.
Two very good points, Everyone says that Barber wore down, but I believe that the Giants knew that T.O. couldn't get behind them with that Bad Ankle and Started to bring 8 men in the Box and Blitzing more, with all that however those dropped passes were the difference.

One other point, it's nice to finally have a 3rd option at RB in Tashard Choice, what a huge upgrade over TT.

Barber was given a breather, there were plays where JJ was in the backfield. JJ may have only ran the ball3 times, but i bet he was in the backfield far more than 3 times.

As much respect as I have for Barber (there's just something you have to like about a come-on-try-and-bring-me-down running style), until he proves he can carry the load -- there will be questions. His style expends a lot of energy.

With Felix and possibly Choice in the mix, MB3 just has to duplicate last year's numbers for the running game to be upgraded. I think he will top it.

It's hard to say one Jones will be an upgrade over the other until we see them on the field. I feel that way about any rookie regardless of the team.

We'll see -- it should be interesting to watch.

1) A Peterson/C Taylor
2) MJD/ F Taylor
3) Barber/Jones
4) Parker/Mendenhall
5) McFadden/Fargas
6) McAllister/Bush
7) McGahee/Rice
8) Jacobs/Bradshaw
9) LWhite/CJohnson
10) Addai/Rhodes
11) LJohnson/Charles
12) DWilliams/JStewart
13) Portis/Betts
14) Norwood/Turner

I look at this list and realize how much I love fantasy football.
I think my top five would be 1 . AD/Taylor 2. Parker/Mendenhall 3. MJD/ Taylor 4. Barber/ Jones 5. Addai/ Rhodes

Parker can get it done year in and year out by himself and now if Mendenhall can come in and contribute anything. They did lose Faneca too I really like Jonathan Stewart and DeAngelo Williams through college and if Fox can revamp that offensive line I think they could be pretty exciting, along with Burner and Norwood in a struggling ATL offense

That's a stong five. I know it's speculation with the rookies, but it's fun offseason chatter. As for D-Will and Stewart, my friends in Carolina are pumped to see what they can do. But that tandem is really a mystery as neither has fully shown it yet at the next level. I'm curious about White and Johnson too. White had over 1200 total yards and think CJ will go 650/550 this year....that's 2400+ combined.

Agreed....it should be fun to see what all of these rookies do. I'm sure there will be a few big suprises on both the plus and minus side.

If one (or both combined) Cowboy rookies can match the approx 800 total yards that Jones gave us last year on less touches and Barber's numbers go up, we will have succeeded. The measily 3.6 ypc that JJ had last year really hurt us.

What's funny is the bio on F. Jones is very similar to the one on J. Jones.

Scary is a better way to put it. JJ was not terrible, IMO, his position was just a spot that could possibly be upgraded--maybe signifciantly after a year or two. Between Choice and Jones, I think (hope) we have upgraded that position.

not really Felix was a consistent performer and contributor all three years at Arkansas whereas Julius had a very up and down inconsistent career at ND
