What about that Monday Night Game where the Eagles holder pulled a Romo and bobbled the snap.
I remember that, it was supposed to be a chip shot field goal from like the 2 yard line, and there was like 5 seconds left. The game was all but over... Wow, I don't think I ever screamed so loud at midnight in my parents house. I woke everyone up but I didn't care.

If any cowboys fans say they saw that bobbled snap on MNF live they would be lying. We all know we turn the channel when it appeared all the Eagles had to do was kick a chip shot FG.

Actually was a close game, 17-14 Dallas win. Dallas was pretty good that year, 12-4. They got blown out at SF 45-14 in the regular season, only to ...well you know the rest..

Nope, i watched it. Tommy Hutton, Eagles punter, bobbled ball before Boniol could kick it. 1997 Dallas would go to 2-1, then 3-1 the next week until wheels fell off the era. They ended 6-10 and Switzer was canned.

I have to see if I have the 81 game. I know I have the 79 game at the Vet. Is the 81 game you are referring to at the Vet?

Why would you be watching the Eagles attempt such a short FG? I'm sorry but it's hard to believe any Cowboys fan watched that bobbled snap by Tommy Hutton.

Yes, at the Vet. I was a kid but remember the heart break of Danny White's early 80's team. There was always that one team that was better.

1980 - 12-4
1981 - 12-4
1982 - 6-3
1983 - 12-4

Of course an Eagles fan perspective will differ from one from an opponent divional rival. That said, the best Eagles-Cowboys game is always the very next game between the two titans.

Philosophiocally speaking, the best game between the two teams have not yet been played!

Why is that hard to believe? I have never stopped watching a game in my life until the final seconds. I watched every second of the pickle juice game. Every second of the Roy game, I didn't think there was a shot in heck that we would win that one.

But it was 2 seconds left and not enough time for the cowboys to do anything so that's why I'm shocked cowboys fans were actually watching the FG attempt.

Why wouldn't you? You never know what happens on field goals.

You know that-"you never know what can happen" philosphy is bull-lol

I know lots of people found out that the Eagles lost the next day when they woke up.

igg fans do not like it when cowboy fans talk about the past. I've went to several cowboy games @ the vet and let me say for the most part igg fans r cry babies who like salty beer.

How is it that I am a big devoted Cowboys fan yet you outpost me? Are you even registered at a Philly board? I bet you are a closet Cowboy's fan. Our 5 rings are most beautiful and hold great power. I bet you wish to posess such great power, but you never will until you submit to the ring barrer "Tony Romo".

How is that hard to believe ? I watched the entire Bills game last year also, and we were all but out of that after the missed two point conversion.

Never give up. Period.

The odds of a blocked or muffed exchange during a FG/EP is rare, but still happens. As we've seen one too many times.:

Exactly.

I'm vague on the details, but I seem to remember a strange one back in the Dick Vermeil days when the Eagles lost the last regular season game at Texas Stadium but rejoiced at the end of the game because they still held some sort of tie-breaker in their favor (point differential) because it was a close loss.

It was strange to see a team celebrate after a loss.
