I'm vague on the details, but I seem to remember a strange one back in the Dick Vermeil days when the Eagles lost the last regular season game at Texas Stadium but rejoiced at the end of the game because they still held some sort of tie-breaker in their favor (point differential) because it was a close loss.

It was strange to see a team celebrate after a loss.
The Vermeil game you refer to was in December 1980 (I was at the game!). Based on the tie-breaker rules Dallas had to win the game by 25 points. It was a fun game to watch. Landry really opened up the offense and early in the 4th quarter Dallas was ahead 35-10. Unfortunately the Eagles got some late scores and the final score was 35-27.

Thus we had the strange scene of the Eagles celebrating the NFC East title after a loss--keep in mind this was the first title of any kind for the Eagles since 1960--so I guess they were excited.

DavyBaby -- That's funny. I was there too!

Endzone seats ... but I can't remember which endzone.

Remember that game in '06 I think it was when Bledsoe threw that pick six to Lito Shepherd in their end zone? We had a shot til that play. I think it was only a few weeks later that Romo supplanted him.

How is it that I am a big devoted Cowboys fan yet you outpost me? I bet you are a closet Cowboy's fan "

That's easy ...In addition to being a dedicated Eagles Fan, I'm also an NFL fan!

Are you even registered at a Philly board?

In addition to being a member of the official Eagles MB, I'm also a moderator at two other boards. Just because you hear some of these other posters make their snide remarks about the Eagles or me as a fan, it doesn't mean they know what they're talking about.

Remember ...it's not the number of your posts that counts ...it's the quality of your post.

No thanks, I don't wish to get into a name-calling match with you. You're probably much better at it than I am anyway.

Best:

Beating the snot out them 34-0 in 1996 (?) Deion had a huge punt return for a TD in that one)
Beating them 20-10 in the 1992 Playoffs. Emmitt and Moose came up big.
Beating the hell out of them in the 1995 Playoffs (Deion ran one in for a TD on a reverse)
Beating the hell out of them in 2005 with Bledsoe hitting Terry Glenn for multiple TDS
Beating them with Quincy 2003

Worst:
The pickle juice game. (Huge expectations that year, but got destroyed and lost Galloway and Aikman)
The 4th and 1 game
The 1980 24-7 Championship game loss
The 2003 44-10 rubber match defeat in Philly
The Bledsoe pick 6 game
The Aikman pick 6 game

What about that Monday Night Game where the Eagles holder pulled a Romo and bobbled the snap.
That holder was Tommy Hutton, and I was at that game. :)

Is it me or does it seem like every game in this rivalry has been a best/worse? The wins feel so great, and the losses so terrible. There have already been so many posts in this thread, everything has been covered.

I can't see the 1995 4th and 1 loss being the worst - it stung for one week, then we clobbered them in the playoffs. For me, it's between the 1998 game when Irvin went down, and the pickle juice game. I am going with the 98 game, because that team started 3-0 and had high hopes, while the pickle juice team (though we lost Galloway) was an aging shell of a team.

As far as the best wins, oh so many to pick. For me, the recent game where the Cowboys come back from a 20-7 deficit to win with Roy's interception for a touchdown probably my favorite non-playoff victory in Cowboys' history. I was at that game, and I am not ashamed to say tears still come to my eyes when I watch the NFL replay. What a game!

As an Eagle fan, I hated the Hutton bobbled snap game. Bonoil was ready to burn his former team, we had the lead all game, lost it, then had a great catch and run by Freddie Solomon to set up an inprobable final FG to win on MNF....and then he dropped the snap, and then to make it worse, he picked it up and fumbled it AGAIN! I could never quite forgive Hutton for that...it was like the unforgiveable sin. It was a chip shot FG too, basically an extra point.

I think my favorite was probably the 4th and 1 game because of the arrogance of Switzer to go for it twice on his own 30 yard line with the same play (after refs game Cowboys a gift 2nd try).

best....for me, my first NFL game...

1991 at the vet. the kelvin martin punt return game. cowboys get into the playoffs, the ea-girls get knocked out......the vet cries.

beautiful day.

runner up...january 1993 playoff game. god, that was a wonderful azzz kicking!!!!

honorable mention to the tommy hutton game. hilarious.

worst has to be the 2004 beating at texas stadium. i didn't expect to win, but i hated TO more than anything back then, and they just flat out embarrassed us that night.

runner up....the 2000 on-side kick game. another abortion of a game.

honorable mention to the 1980 nfc championship game....that sucked.

the best for me would probably have to be us stomping Philly w/ Drew Bledsoe as QB, I was so stoked after it, like, "we finally beat them, not only that, ravaged them!" I haven't felt that way since, and probably won't until we get a shot at the Pats again

the worst would definitely have to be the 2000 season opener when Joey Galloway went down, the onside kick, need I go on? wow, what a harbinger of things to come that game was

honorable mention worst game: playoff loss to Cards in '98

Well if you included the 2000 Game as the one of the Worst, I think you have to include the 10/12/03 game as one of your best since the Cowboys was ready for the Eagles Onside Kick that year and scored at the Beginning of the Game.
