A lot of people will probably say Sonny Bryan's or Rudy's, and I like both of those places, but i also think those have become the "trendy" places... I actually prefer Bakers Ribs BBQ (although I order the pulled pork, not ribs) and actually Dickies would probably be my next choice... This is only in regards to their meats, I have yet to find a BBQ place that has really tasty side items...

If we're talking BBQ ribs, I would actually go with Cheddars of all places... I've had ribs from many different BBQ joints, some of which were fairly pricey and had legendary reputations, and I have yet to find a wet rib that is as consistently good as Cheddars recipe... And while you're at it, Cheddars makes a pretty darn good steak as well... Steak and ribs combo for under $15, yum!

See that's the thing . I was hoping to find a place that has both?

Anyone tried Risckys in stockyards ?

Don't do that. Either go someplace that has good BBQ or someplace that has good steaks.

It's like those joints you see around Los Angeles that serve burritos and pastrami sandwiches, they end up being mediocre at both.

If you are trying to impress a lady, then a steakhouse is the way to go. Del Frisco's is one of my favorites when I go to Dallas.

Was going to post this same thing awhile ago. This is Texas, go to a steakhouse for steak or go to a BBQ joint for ribs and brisket.

The only place that has both and is pretty good.........Texas Roadhouse. But, you can find better at different specialty restaurants.

I know the Roadhouse is a chain but living here in Cali.........sure miss their chicken fried steak!

Lockhart is really good.Pecan lodge has great brisket but they run out of stuff if you go late plus you have to stand in a line.

Thanks guys the lady and I had a blast even though it was a heartbreaking loss. So frustrating !!!

We decided on cattleman steakhouse in stockyards . It was pretty good , no regrets . Also went to coopers the following day and I enjoyed that much better. Lets just say I won, :) even though the Cowboys lost. Thanks to everyone who replied !!!
