I have over our thought and over thought our 1st Round Pick. I sit back and look at Bosa, Ramsey and etc. and think to myself Ok which player in this Draft will help the Cowboys the most and I come back everytime to Elliott. Everytime..... and this is why?

1) Which Player will touch the ball the most each game ? Elliott

2) The Cowboys Offensive Line is one of the best. Who does this benefit ? Elliott

3) Which team stands a better chance of controlling the clock and helping our Defense ? Our OL with Elliott
(This allows us to do what we do best just like 2014 with Murray......Elliott is better)

4) Who helps Romo stay healthy ? Elliott

His 3rd Down efficiency is just simply too good to pass !!! Elliott will be the biggest improvement for our
Defense by controlling the Clock. One Defensive PLayer such as Bosa or Ramsey will never make the
impact Elliott will for our football team next season.

How did "biggest impact" look last year when this team added not one, not two, but three 1st round talents?

I didn't see any of them having a "big impact" on the team's record.

I'm starting to think he could be the best and safest pick for us. I still like Ramset a lot. Jack too.

The fact so many people think Elliott is going to have the transcendent effect on the Cowboys in 2016 is hilarious.

He would easily have the biggest immediate impact but that is pretty meaningless to me.

When people start talking about immediate impact in the draft it's code for draft for need.

The players I assume your talking about are not Runningbacks. If your talking about Hardy and etc.
This proves my point. DE and CB are not going to be the difference in going 7-9 or 10-6 and Playoffs
but a solid RB would be with a healthy Romo. I'm not knocking Darren McFadden he was good but
how many times on a 3rd and 2 or 3rd and 3 he would get stuffed. Murray didn't get stuffed and Elliott
want either consistently. Elliott makes the Defense better, Dez Bryant better and Romo much better.
Romo want have to do as much or put himself into the feeling he always has to make a big play. I'm
just saying I think Elliott makes the most sense and honestly we should still get at least two defensive
starters in Rounds 2 and 3 they are premium picks and the Draft is solid on the Defensive Line. I really
feel in those two rounds we can get a starter at Cornerback and on the Defensive Line. In Round 4 we
own two picks and my gut has a QB and possibly a WR in this round. REally depends who slips.

They may even be able to pickup a 2nd or 3rd rounder if sliding a few spots for Elliott but I wouldn't
slide very far because hes going to get picked. But if something happens and the Boys decide to go
Ramsey or etc. I would honestly focus on pick 34 or a slideup to nail Derrick Henry.

Running backs that you can get anywhere? Running backs where the league's leading rusher was available last year and the #2 leading rusher was available this year? That position? The one that few, if any teams even draft in the first round any more, much less in the top 5, that running back position?

If your talking about Hardy and etc.
This proves my point.

Take a minute, and think about the three 1st round talents this team hit in last year's draft.

I think this plan is terrible. A team that wouldn't pay the cost for Lamar Miller turns around and pays even more for Elliot and uses up the #4 overall pick to do that. Insane.

Draft Picks are not paid very high anymore making Elliott cheap compared to years past. You should always
have rookies starting in todays NFL they net you the cheapest contracts. Elliott would probably sign for 4 years
and maybe cheaper than Lamar Miller. Honestly I would rather have Elliott thn Miller today and tomorrow. In
saying all this will the Cowboys take Elliott at #4 I'm not so sure unless there is a trade down. In my pure gut
feeling I still feel that if Carson Wentz is there at #4 they will go to the podium with the ticket. I'm just not sure
if I'm on board or not. I really don't listen to Jerry he talks out of both ends and you take it with a grain of salt.

Should say immediate impact...year1.
Yes, generally in the very first season, it's easiest for RBs--any starting RB--to contribute more

The real question is: would one of the elite other position players taken at 4th overall combined with a running back in the 3rd have more combined immediate and long term impact than Elliott with the 4th overall pick combined with some other position player in the 3rd?

I don't know the answer for sure, but you can be sure that is how the Dallas FO is looking at it.

You are not only taking Elliott to play for you . You are taking him to not play against you. He is either a Cowboy ,Giant or Eagle.

Yup, kinda like the Eagles did to us with Murray. Overpaid to keep him away from us

It's great to see that someone actually put the time in and made the effort to actually know what they're talking about.

It's refreshing.

6 million for above average halfback is not that bad especially considering what they can bring. Did the Cowboys
miss Murray last year yes they did and who knows maybe Romo doesn't get injured if Murray was there. But since
you seem to think you know what your talking about when in actuality YOU DON'T why not take another Clairborne ?
how did that one work for you. So if you don't know what your talking about DON'T TALK !!!
