6 million for above average halfback is not that bad especially considering what they can bring. Did the Cowboys
miss Murray last year yes they did and who knows maybe Romo doesn't get injured if Murray was there. But since
you seem to think you know what your talking about when in actuality YOU DON'T why not take another Clairborne ?
how did that one work for you. So if you don't know what your talking about DON'T TALK !!!

I would rather pay 6 mil for a RB who could carry the ball 20 times a game and catch 3 or 4 balls rather than some CB
who will make a nice play or two during a game and than get toasted another couple of times...you do the math.

I am waiting to see Myles Jack freakshow pro day. He can play OLB or safety. Dude is a monster in coverage.

LOL - I would like Ramsey honestly. Just don't want Bosa or a QB at this pick. if it was up to me I would go Ramsey, if available , and DT with 34th pick unless Henry is there. with the 3rd pick I would draft the CB from No. Iowa or next best CB so I could pair Ramsey with Jones at Safety.

But that's not the cost now, is it? It was the cost if they had signed Lamar Miller, but now the cost would be $6 million per year and having to give up the #4 overall pick and your chance at a franchise quarterback. Dumb, dumb, dumb.

Did the Cowboys

Yeah, sure thing. More baseless, unsupportable speculation. If the running back was different, somehow the quarterback doesn't get hurt? Neither of Romo's injuries in 2015 resulted in a missed block or blown assignment by a running back.

But since

No, I'm aiming higher, as in the most valuable commodity in sports, a quarterback. Running backs are much more easily acquired and smart teams know that.

Much like the last uninformed thing you wrote, it didn't. You haven't had a clue since the beginning of this thread. Everything you've said has been proven to be wrong.

That's your opinion Buddy not everybody agrees with you !!! I have no problem taking a QB if the Cowboys think theres a franchise
one there but be ready for that QB to wait a while to play because right now Romo ain't goin no where for a while. Your quick to criticize
but bring up no value in your points other than YOU want a Quarterback maybe the Cowboys are content with using a later pick on a QB.
Maybe they don't think there is one worthwhile for the #4 spot as many people do except YOU. Mr know it all.

It's a wonder Centers don't go at the top of the first round every year! :p

Good point pancakeman......you are not locked into a QB yourself at #4 are you ? LOL

I'm not locked into Wentz or Goff not totally sold either is a franchise QB plus the fact their going to be sitting for a while. We need help at RB, WR and Defense Defense and Defense.

I'm more than fine with waiting for that quarterback. That means Romo is hapealthy and okaying well and it gives that young guy more time to get acclimated to the NFL and to learn.

I expect people to know the facts surrounding the things they say.

Elliott would bring the most visible impact this year. QB would bring the most impact long term. A combination of defensive players who can turn this defense around would have the biggest impact on our record and gives us the best chance of competing in the playoffs
Not opposed to Zeke but Zeke and an extra pick would make it easier to swallow that we aren't using the pick on a QB or defense

I have over our thought and over thought our 1st Round Pick. I sit back and look at Bosa, Ramsey and etc. and think to myself Ok which player in this Draft will help the Cowboys the most and I come back everytime to Elliott. Everytime..... and this is why?

1) Which Player will touch the ball the most each game ? Elliott

2) The Cowboys Offensive Line is one of the best. Who does this benefit ? Elliott

3) Which team stands a better chance of controlling the clock and helping our Defense ? Our OL with Elliott
(This allows us to do what we do best just like 2014 with Murray......Elliott is better)

4) Who helps Romo stay healthy ? Elliott

His 3rd Down efficiency is just simply too good to pass !!! Elliott will be the biggest improvement for our
Defense by controlling the Clock. One Defensive PLayer such as Bosa or Ramsey will never make the
impact Elliott will for our football team next season.

This is all very nice, but who in this organization is actually thinking long term? As in 2017, 2018, 2019 and beyond?

We have a 36 year old QB who is one back injury away from being finished.

A responsible front office doesn't just think about tomorrow, but long term. Sadly, I don't any long term thinking from management. And very little from the fans.

Thank You Connor agreed you have much more knowledge and more lever headed than Stash !!!

You are correct QB longterm absolutely YES if either Goff or Wentz is that guy !!! They are the only two in play at #4 and none of us really know what they will do because we don't really know how they have accessed either QB. If they don't feel either is a franchise QB they'll pass and look elsewhere. But for someone to just lock in and say we have to take a QB there that is narrow minded because people like you, me and Stashy are not player evaluators so our opinions mean nothing but how we feel. If we are in a win now mode like I feel Jerry is at his age hes thinking during Romo's playing days so my point Zeke does the most than a backup QB. Now in saying this hell yes we need another QB in case Romo hits the turf wrong once again. Lets hope not.

Players like Zeke are not just for 2016 he will sign a 4 year deal most likely. The topic was impact player which Zeke would be. Quarterback could be but also they will not start and the #4 pick is not the only place in this upcoming draft you can get one. You are not locked into taking one at #4.

In all honesty if they pass on QB and decide no trade down and #4 is too high for Zeke...Ramsey would be my choice if hes available.

If your QB pans out at #4, you could be set at the position until 2030.

By 2030, Elliott will be long gone.

So your saying you've evaluated both Goff and Wentz and they are franchise Quarterbacks and we
definitely need to take whichever one is there at #4 ? Okkkkkkkayyyy

Many good QB last that long. Peyton played 18 years. Brady is still going.

I'm not saying Wentz will be as good as those guys. But it is not unusual for top flight QB's to play that long. RB's that last that long are long gone. That's why Emmitts rushing record will last a very, very long time if Peterson can't catch him. He's the only one who has even a remote chance.
