I have over our thought and over thought our 1st Round Pick. I sit back and look at Bosa, Ramsey and etc. and think to myself Ok which player in this Draft will help the Cowboys the most and I come back everytime to Elliott. Everytime..... and this is why?

1) Which Player will touch the ball the most each game ? Elliott

2) The Cowboys Offensive Line is one of the best. Who does this benefit ? Elliott

3) Which team stands a better chance of controlling the clock and helping our Defense ? Our OL with Elliott
(This allows us to do what we do best just like 2014 with Murray......Elliott is better)

4) Who helps Romo stay healthy ? Elliott

His 3rd Down efficiency is just simply too good to pass !!! Elliott will be the biggest improvement for our
Defense by controlling the Clock. One Defensive PLayer such as Bosa or Ramsey will never make the
impact Elliott will for our football team next season.

My thoughts exactly!

How did "biggest impact" look last year when this team added not one, not two, but three 1st round talents?

I didn't see any of them having a "big impact" on the team's record.

Wow you never give up on the whining about the Cowboys do you?

So your saying you've evaluated both Goff and Wentz and they are franchise Quarterbacks and we
definitely need to take whichever one is there at #4 ? Okkkkkkkayyyy

Feedback from Wentz Combine interview:

  • As I tweeted during the Combine, the Browns said that North Dakota State quarterback Carson Wentz was a stud in the interview room. Other teams echoed that. They said he is a bright, smart kid with excellent play recall.
When you combine that with all his physical tools and you have a rickedy, 36 year old starting QB, the choice becomes clear.

The Browns said ? they've been excellent Quarterback evaluators haven't they....they've struck out with several from what I remember.
I wouldn't quote anything the Browns said they've been TERRIBLE at evaluations on Quarterbacks.

But on a serious side Wentz may just be that guy don't know except Jerry said they are not taking a QB at #4 so only
he knows if that's BS or legit. They maybe hoping if they downplay the fact of taking a QB up there that Cleveland will
get suckered into passing which allows them their pick of Goff or Wentz but its all guesswork at this point.

Just like you never put down your Pom-poms while kissing their @$$ about everything.

I've been on Jerry Jones for years as being an impediment to Cowboys success. Sorry it doesn't fit your agenda.

Read it again. It said "other teams echoed that".

The Cowboys liked him at the Senior Bowl.

The biggest impact Z.Elliot would have is longterm...........giving a rookie RB 24 million over 5 years would have the impact of being not being able to keep impact players on defense, and keeping our OLine together long term.

I'm lost. If they choose Ramsey, Boss or Jack at #4, and pay him the exact same contract.....

Elliott allows the offense to play the style they did in 2014 with controlling the ball and the clock. They can mask the defense again although this current roster has more talent on defense than 2014.

I have said it before and I am sure I will say it again (many many times); this was not a bad defense last year. They were middle of the road all the way, and there was several games we were only remotely in it because of them (against some decent offenses). With a decent offense last year this defense is top 10 and gets a lot more takeaways. With that being said, I wouldn't mind Jack/Bosa/Ramsey in the first (though I think Jack would be less than optimal because I think he sits behind Hitchens/McClain/Lee for at least a year) but I think an impact player on offense would be a great choice because that would help Romo stay healthy (and might even help us win a game if Romo goes down).

Questfor6 thanks because that's what I've tried to get across. Honestly we can't really do what we did in 2014 with McFadden.
Hes a nice complimentary back to keep on the Roster but in my view for us to get back to a top tier Offense in the NFL first
naturally Romo staying Healthy but we we really need to come out of this Draft with Elliott or Henry. We can do this with either
back but my thinking with Elliott we are pretty much guaranteed to get him early first round if they pass and go QB or Defense
than now we are hoping that Henry is available at #34 our second rounder....hmmmmm it might be close but I could see him
coming off the board right ahead of us.

I think we also need another WR that can stretch defenses too.

I watched him in all 3 of his years at Ohio St., and he was my dream draft choice ever since that National Championship against Oregon.
