Best current QB in the NFL

Manning is a throwback to the days when QBs were field general who called plays--he is probably the best QB in my lifetime (at least equal with Starr, Staubach, Montana, and one or two more)

My answer is the same as it's been for the last several years. Peyton Manning.

Its Peyton or Brady, and then the rest of the league. You can debate Peyton's talent vs. Brady's wins, but in the end, those two are a clear cut above every other QB this decade.

because Brady is still working his way back up because of his injury I'll go Peyton#1, Brees#2 and Brady#3

also why do you have a couple bums on that list and no Joe Flacco?

To the 8 of you that voted for Romo, go back to sleep!!!
Don't be so nasty...We all have the right to our own opinion. I voted for Romo because I wanted too.

Lol who voted for brady quinn. Anyway I voted for Peyton Manning.
Very close runner up imo would be brees

Brees, because he is good and my FFL QB, so yes, I want to believe he's the best.

I'm always surprised at how much Kurt Warner is overlooked. People always talk about how Manning and Brady are two of the all-time greats, but why not Warner? Two-time NFL MVP. Superbowl MVP. The Rams were nothing before him and nothing after him. Ditto the Cards (presumably). Who has thrown the most yards in Superbowl history? Warner. 2nd most? Warner. 3rd most? Warner. The guy never gets the respect he deserves IMHO.

Brees. He's the only one on that list that worries me to have to play.

Manning.

What he does is unreal. He runs nearly every aspect of that offense. He has turned playing that position into a science.

No other QB can even come close to doing what he does.

Brees is a great QB but he doesn't run his team like Manning.

Brady is a great QB as well but he too doesn't run his offense like Manning. He does it more than Brees but not as much as Manning.

I'd rank them in this order.

1. Manning
2. Brady
3. Brees

Agreed on Manning. It's ridiculous how much more mentally advanced he is from every one else playing the position.

I like Brees a lot, but to me he's just a slightly better version of Romo -- a guy that wows for stretches and is most certainly good, but still has a lot to prove to be considered the best in the game. Check out Brees' performances in the Saints' losses last year; you talk about a mistake-prone, self-destructing QB, well, he plays for New Orleans also.

I'd probably rank Roethlisberger third on my list, with Brees or Warner fourth. The tricky thing with Warner is you don't know what you have from year to year with his injury history. The next group gets tricky for me. Eli is starting to head the class of that group and McNabb is probably up there as well. I'd say Rivers, Romo and Rodgers follow next. Ryan and Flacco are surging up the list, but I don't know if 19 games is enough to say they're top 10 just yet; but it seems like a certainty they will be among the best in short time. I'd place Cutler -- a mistake prone player with a great arm who has never made the playoffs -- next.

Somewhere around No. 35 comes Jason Campbell.

I picked Brees because "currently" he is on fire.

He was on fire all of last year too.

It's still Peyton...Brady had that one monster season that nobody saw coming, but it's been Manning for years on end...and it doesn't really look like it's ending soon...He is a scientist.

I love Drew Brees, he is easily one of my favorite 5 non boys' in the league. One thing kinda gets me though. No one has any idea or seems to care if he's a playoff winner, he's just awesome and don't doubt it...I say this more from a position as a cowboy fan obviously cause Romo can't run a draw play without them naming off his 5 worst moments...Goes with the territory I guess...

Brees isn't dating celebrities all the time going to Mavericks games and whatnot. Romo brings alot of it on himself and I'm sick of people trying to paint him as a victim. But, at the end of the day he is no different than Brees except that Brees has a playoff win.

Right, it was 3 years ago...And he been starting how many more years, 4-ish? And he was on a pretty good team before his current team...I was talking about the game of football. Football. FOOTBALL. Don't give a crap about anything else or judging anything else...More than anything I was kinda saying that i'm in a way shocked that they are not on Brees's *** over lack of team success...They sure talk about him a lot as well.

I consider Tony Romo to still be developing into his game, so you aren't going to hear any victim talk from me, and i'm sorry you took it that way...If you read what I said again, you probably wouldn't take it that way.
