Seen a lot of these. Vampires and Zombies… always down for a story involving them.

I'm always on the lookout for vampire movies (and vamp TV series) as well as other type of horror movies: werewolves, zombies, sci fi horror, that I have yet to see.

Under the radar vamp movies.
Even on the campy B-level (ala Dark Town, Night Fangs, Count Dracula's Great love, Night of the Sorcerers, Dayshift, Renfeld)

Let the Right One In (2008) .. used to be an under-the radar vamp film, but apparently with the reboot
(with Chole Grace Moretz) and the dreadful series by Showtime channel, it's fair to say it is no longer a hidden gem.

Interview with the Vampire
Kiss of the Vampire
(First time seeing Alyssa Milano in all her glory)
Underworld (Kate Beckinsale in black leather...Need I say more?)
Van Helsing (Kate Beckinsale in black leather...again)

Can't think of any vampire movies, other than Interview with the Vampire that I consider good.

I'd have (liked) to see Near Dark again as it's been decades since I've last seen it.
But if a film is star casting my ole boyz Bill Paxton and Lance Henrikse... it's worth taking a look at.

I tend to luv it whenever Lance Henrikse is casted in horror films. (Pumpkin-head, Aliens, Aliens vs Predator)

and Jenette Goldstein was mentioned in a different thread awhile back, and this reminds that she's
featured in Near Dark as well. ;)

Was Nosferatu (silent film?) brought to the big theater screen before the first Dracula movie (Bela Lugosi) appeared ?

It tickles me with Nosferatu, as why would we want to be greeted at the front door, or sit across the dinner table
with anyone that looks as freakish creepy and frightening looking as Nosferatu ?

" Err, See ya buddy, I'll catch the next coach- horse outta here "....

Perhaps I am wrong but I believe Vampire Knight is not a movie but a series. I will assume that is true so I can post my number one vampire themed anime into this movie thread:

2006's Hellsing ULTIMATE. All 10 volumes. A literal masterpiece of writing and animation.

The Bird of the Hermes is my name,
eating my wings to make me tame.

A bit of trivia about "Near Dark"

"Future husband James Cameron suggested to Bigelow that she use the ready-made ensemble cast from his recent hit Aliens (1986), and thus Lance Henriksen, Bill Paxton, and Jenette Goldstein all appear in Bigelow's film. Michael Biehn had also appeared in Aliens and was considered, but declined to participate."

Helsing Ultimate series,.

I only have 2 or 3 volumes, I didn't realize they were 10 volumes,
its a series that I would luv to .. need to ....revisit it again to recall it.
And definitely get a hold of every volume.
