Best Parcells Era Draft Pick

Just curious - I know we can't tell too much from the last two years, but I was thinking about this one tonight, and it just struck me that I had never really considered it.

I know that's really a cop out, but I think Ware will be the best player to come from the Parcells era.

That's how I took the question... Quality of player vs. where he was taken in the draft. But I see how others saw it as simply the "best player", too.

I meant best as in value to the team - and I still put Witten as my answer. He has been good since he got here, and is the only player on the list to be named to a probowl. Newman is not far behind, and he hasn't been poor, but he did have the one year.

Ware, Jones, maybe 1-2 others can still come up. But at this point, Newman and Witten are the obvious franchise type players.

How can a 2-time pro-bowler picked in the 3rd not be considered a great pick. Especially when those 2 pro-bowls have come in his first 3 years in the league.

Well FWIW, I just named Witten because he was a 3rd rounder. I think Ware is going to be the biggest star of all of them... And at a more valuable position than TE.

I leaned towards the lowestmost draft pick who has been very successful.

Tough question. They all contribute and are all class guys. I wouldn't be so quick as to annoint Witten. Great receiving TE but he needs to pick up his blocking. Julius and the injury bug but when he's healthy he contributes big time. Same goes for Patrick. Rob wasn't very good last year but the kid has earned the utmost of respect from me. He took his pounding like a man, in front of millions of unforgiving fans and never heard the guy complain. Man, I just can't bring myself to vote for "Best". Could be a good thing though...means we got a TEAM happening here.
