Normally, you make a lot of sense.

But here, you are off the reservation.

Romo missed the Roy Williams throw, no doubt about it. The problem isn't so much that he missed that 1 throw. The problem is... why did we need that one throw?

Romo missed a couple of passes. Out of 55 attempts, guess what, that's going to happen. Hell, that's going to happen on half the total attempts.

But when your starting QB has 392 yards, 3 TDs, and 0 INTs... you should win that game.

We didn't.

That statline SHOULD get a W just about every time.

But it didn't.

Why?

(Hint; the answer isn't Romo).

Now, to be fair, if Romo goes out on Sunday and throws up a dud and we win; I'll give the team credit for winning and criticise Romo for poor play. And that's how it should be.

But to hinge the Giants loss on Romo; no. He made more than enough plays that a mediocre defensive effort would have ensured victory. But we didn't get that.

1. I did not hinge all the loss on Romo. Or any frankly.

To the contrary my point is this is a team loss and unless they rewrote the rules stating that only poor performers get the L and all the people who lived up to their hype get the W, the comments still stand.

2. There are fans that are more concerned with being right than the team winning.

I am not one of them.

I see this as a team loss is all my point is about.

No, in real time, Romo was pulling the trigger on the throw with the sense that the defender was still with Roy Williams and was trying to deliver to where only his receiver could make a play. He had not yet seen where the defender had been faked nicely and fallen down. A split second later in his delivery, and Dallas would have had that touchdown.

Another play could have been in a similar sight. That being the swing pass to Tashard Choice that if Romo had anticipated his cutting up field, would have lead him instead of outside shouldered a breaking route. This would have resulted in a run for TD similar to that of Brandon Jacobs as well.

But the killer was two TD's given up on drama filled plays, in the punt return and the swing pass to Jacobs. Otherwise, both the offense and defense both had been winning the war against the Giants.

And as TwoDeep has stated, I also hope that a similar approach arrives against the Chargers, but the 'stupid' and drama filled plays are eliminated. San Diego is much more consistently in a quick strike. Beat them there, and Dallas could be in for a wail of a good ballgame at home.

and the Texans are 5-7.

not because of Schaub.......I actually think Schaub and Romo are right on par and close to even with Romo having a slight edge as being a playmaker, finding ways to keep plays alive rather than being sacked

NOONE can say Tony throws a better ball than Schaub. Accuracy wise, Schaub has Romo beat......
