I loaded up the VPN to get the british version of Netflix and I noticed they have Sons of Anarchy on there.
I originally watched it on netflix in the USA a couple years back but it was taken off. Might go and watch it again.

We just finished binging SOA again. It really does go off the rails in the last few seasons.

I can rewatch old episodes of Two and a Half Men, Family Guy, and South Park any time, but I have really only binged two series more than once, Farscape and Dark Matter. The first time I watched Farscape I thought it was going to be some corny cheap sci-fi series for kids, but in a few episodes I was hooked on it. For what it is the writing is excellent, the characters are interesting and likable and they develop them over time. There are Henson puppets but it does not come off looking too cartoonish or silly. I never thought would like a something like it but I love this show and have binged it about 20 times.

I have wanted to watch Firefly. A lot of people say that one is really good, and supposedly the producers were influenced by Farscape. But for some reason Firefly is not offered to Prime customers.

I have not watched Farscape myself but very much recommend Firefly. It is on Hulu if you have that.

The Boys was much darker than I'd expected. I liked it.
yes and it was more of a serious drama than it looked like.
I liked the main supe forget his name , and then the blonde girl . forget her name too lol.
I liked it more as I watched each episode. now have to wait till sept to see S2.
I might watch it again in august just to prep for S2.

ok here are some more shows that I thought were good.

Manhunt.Unabomber.S01-2 S1 is una b. and S2 is richard jewel and the guy who really did that bombing. both were pretty good, but una was very good.
Ozark.S01-2 This show was a surprise too, I really liked it.
Rome.S01-2 this is a old one , but was a great show was on hbo.
You.S01-2 this show is a spin on Dexter, so if you liked dex, you might like this one, very well done for what it is, I liked it.
Warrior.2019.S01 this is the one that I forgot the name, sort of a kung ** show, but more than that too. Bruce Lee's daughter is one of the producers.
She actually studied jeet kune do and did some fighting when she was younger, and this show was pretty good. Fight scenes are above avg.

I loved Rome when it was on.
However the last season was an abomination.

They yanked the funding from Rome and Deadwood about the same time.
However they gave Rome one last season to try and tie everything together so they screwed up by trying to jump time and jam too much crap in the last season and it was terrible.
But at lease they gave it a final season. They did not do that for Deadwood...they waited years and then put out a movie to end it and although the movie was not bad, it still did not make up for yanking the show in the first place IMO.

On a side note...thanks for pointing out You. I have not heard of it and added it to my list since I really liked dexter (although that finale as terrible as well).

Ipman 4 the finale is on netflix now.

A step down from the other Ipman movies IMO but chances are if you liked the other ones you will watch this one.

One of my all times, Rescue Me, was unusual in that Dennis Leary was one of the creators and writers and gave all of the funny lines to his co-stars, he played the broken character and gave them some great lines.

I think I'll re-watch that after I finish with Band of Brothers. I love Rescue Me.

I don't know what to compare that to with those battle scenes rivaling anything I've seen theatrically but HBO has done that before. They took Band of Brothers to match that level as well.

I watch Band of Brothers every year, that's a good mini series, I agree.

I follow that with The Pacific every year and had hoped that Spielberg and Hanks would have followed on to the battle in the air and on the sea and rounded that out.

Northern Exposure is hard to find but yeah, how in the world can it be a waste of time to watch a young Janine Turner?

Unfortunately, I don't have HBO anymore.
Are you gonna get HBO Max? It should be on there. I am waiting for them to come to terms with Roku and then I'll add them to the mix.

It is a must watch for GoT fans and shows just what they had to go through to make it.

Hadn't even heard of HBO Max. I assume it's another streaming service. If it's $10/mo. or less, maybe, but I have so much stuff right now, and I cut HBO to lower my cable bill.

Apparently it's (she's?) quite popular because I just noticed that the library ordered another full season set of this series. Everytime I re-watch it all copies are out and I have to wait a few weeks.

Back in the day, it was very popular indeed. I knew people in colder states who used to get together in a group, do a pot luck type thing, and all sit around and eat food and watch Northern Exposure every week. There were actually a lot of those, at the time. It definitely had a cult following to it. I liked the show. It was just a silly kind of deal, wasn't my favorite but it was OK. I was not one of those guys that planned a night around it or anything. In fact, I didn't really discover it till later on but a lot of people really liked it for sure.

I bought all the seasons DVDs when they finally became available. It took a very long time to become available, I believe they had issues getting rights for all the music played on the show. The DVD sets came with miniature down vests. Such a great show, think it might be time to rewatch.

Not sure if anyone has mentioned it yet but Jack Ryan on Amazon might be the best written show I've seen in a long time. For me it ranks higher than even justified which I've watched at least 4 times. It is far and away the best Netflix/amazon/Hulu show I have ever seen.

It's really good, I agree. But I don't think I'd put it at the top of my list. Top 10, probably.
