The best TE unit in Cowboys history?
We are SO prisoners of the moment.

I did like Ferguson' Lambeau Leap, though. Fergie executed three great moves (leap, hurdle and bull rush) all in the same play.

man...i'd give the nod to that early 80s group
billy joe dupree
doug cosbie
jay saldai

but it is a helluva 3 headed monster.
jake ferguson is doing what he did at wisconsin...make plays.
fun group.

I agree that only in the Landry Years will you find a unit that can compete with that depth. Partly due to the salary cap. Nice to think Ferguson and Hendershot are both rookies and haven’t even touched their ceilings yet.

yes.
i was very familiar with big jake in college.
but i haven't watched an indiana game since they had anthony thompson at rb.
hendershot has been a revelation to me.

There have been bigger names as the starter, but I feel like you would be hard-pressed to find a TE unit with that much depth and plays that well together. In recent years, the Witten-Campbell tag team is about as close as I can recall. Witten-Bennett had potential but never seemed to sync like this unit.
Witten is a HOF player
He and a JAG would be a better combo
They are playing good and the young guys show some potential but best ever? Not even close at this point

Shout out to Jake Ferguson.

Guy hobbles off the field twice only to come back and do a Jay Novacek-like hurdle. On Thanksgiving too, just like Jay in 1995.

Cowboys fans in my age group remember.

Hendershot still has more potential than him.

That was a classic and the first time I’d seen anything like that in the NFL. Jay was awesome. Tall and lanky, rancher strong.

We have depth at key positions: TE, OL, DL, RB, even QB.

That will likely be important in a playoff run.

Yeah, quality depth is always a good thing. We could have 1 big time TE or 3-4 good enough TEs that get the job done. The rotation keeps them fresh... I'm good with that.

 Can we at least wait until the team has accomplished something before we start declaring all-time greats? Some of you have such a short perspective on this franchise that you really shouldn't make any declarations.
