Homerism knows no bounds on this forum, apparently.

I picked the Cardinals tandem.
I subtracted the Colts because unlike the Cardinals, Harrison and Wayne have a Pro-Bowl QB tossing the pigskin.

Imagine what stats Boldin and Fitzgerald would be putting up if they had a Peyton Manning under center?

yeah that was also a reason why i didn't pick the Colts WR's over the Cards WR's because they have Peyton Manning while the Cards have Kurt Warner and now Leinart (who i think will be a good but not great QB)

Is it Harrison and Wayne's fault they have a great QB?

It's not their fault. But you can't truly compare receivers if all factors aren't equal. We don't know what Boldin and Fitzgerald would do if they had Manning.

But ... the fact that the Cardinals' tandem is getting it done with a Warner/McNown says more to me than it says about Harrison and Wayne who not only benefit from a better running game but have a better QB throwing them the ball.

Give me the Cardinals WRs any day of the week. When you take into account that Boldin has only been in the league 3 years and Fitzgerald has only been in the league 2 years it makes them all the more impressive. The Cardinal WRs have been the only offensive threat and they put up some amazing numbers.

Harrison of the Colts did not produce a Boldin like year until his fourth year in the NFL. Boldin and Fitzgerald outclassed Harrison at the same point in their careers. We will see if Boldin and Fitz can maintain the pace, but without question I take Boldin and Fitz.

As for Wayne. Solid player, would love to have him. He does not belong in the conversation as Fitz and Boldin.

Harrison and Wayne, and it isnt close

Considering that they BOTH disappear in the playoffs or when needed most... I would say that its not them.

Maybe the Bolden and Fitz are future best WR tandems... can think of any great tandem set of WR... lots of good ones though

Here is why I think Glenn and TO may be one of the best, if not the best tandem in the league...

Balance..

The combination of their skills is more dangerous than the other tandems.
We saw last year how important it is to have a slighly smaller, quicker guy, that could get open.. a la steve smith, t.holt, harrison and s.moss.. Glenn is that guy probably 5th or 6th behind those 4. Then you need a bigger posession guy, that can go across the middle, there are only a handful that don't have a weakness and even less that make good YAC. Where would you place TO amongst these guys, no less than 5th or 6th probably.

Wade and Harrison come the closest to matching the skillset, but I'm not sure if Wade really demands double teams like TO or is as physical.

Smith and Keyshawn.. Keyshawn doesn't have the speed or YAC and definitely doesn't demand a double.

Chad Johnson is one of the top receivers in the game, but I would put him and Houzman..whatever in similar roles, both are big time deep threats

I really like Fitz and Boldin, but like the Bengals duo, neither has the shiftyness in their routes of a Smith, Moss, Holt, Glenn

R.Moss and Porter.. can be really dangerous.. but again.. no underneath guy that can break a corners ankles.

By that logic, Keyshawn and Steve Smith are the best. The most pure posession WR and the fastest WR in football.
