Better Contain Zeke

I'm starting to get the distinct feeling that the Zeke fan club is still mighty sore after the departure and lack of teams lining up to sign him. Some of them are hoping he goes off for a big game against us.

I hope the Boyz shut the run game down early. Like I said, based on last year and last week, a guy like Zeke, this early in the season, could hurt us on 3rd and short or goal-line situations. I would have preferred the Cowboys bring Zeke back on the cheap in this role, he is done as the feature back. But Zeke with fresh legs can still plow defenders over.

In the past couple years, in the 1st half of the season, Zeke ran like a bulldog after a bone. His problem was he ran out of steam in the 2nd half of the season. Our run defense has been atrocious, so I suspect Zeke will have a good day Sunday. The Boyz better put the brakes on him early and shut him down.

No. I don't care if he averages 3.1 yards a carry, or 5 yards a carry, no one, or any team should fear him. He's washed. No big play ability, no burst, and no explosiveness. All gone. He can no longer hurt an opposing defense. Can he get 20 yards on 4 or 5 carries? Maybe. But who cares?

If we take him for granted and aren’t focused and ready to play he’ll have a big day. After what happened to the Cowboys last Sunday I think a lot of fans are worried about a number of things with this team. Our run defense is still a big concern.

Exactly KJJ. A VERY "big concern". We were so busy chasing Arizona's QB, they had a heyday with the run! If we make that mistake again, we're gonna be 2-2 by Sunday night.
