Which team do you think was better overall between these two Super Bowl champions?
1992. That OL was legendary and would have mauled any defense in history.

personally I have always believed Jerry sold his soul to the devil for that last SB win so that he could say he won one without Jimmy.Jerry said he could win with any of 500 coaches. Sadly when Switzer won in the SB Jan 96 with a team built by Ackles, Wooten, and Jimmy, and gift wrapped by Neil O' Donnel, Jerry decided he knew football. The fans have been paying ever since.
How do you think the 1993 Cowboys were better? I just look at the relative ease the 92 team seemed to beat the Bills compared to 93...though both games weren't exactly close.
Sadly a great DL does not by itself win many championships. Doomsday 1 and 2 saw only 2 Lombardi's despite having incredible D lines. Doomsday 2 had arguably the greatest in history with Too Tall, Havey, Dutton and Manster.
The Fearsome Foursome of the Rams did not get a ring. The Purple People Eater D line did not get a ring.

Nah. 92 was better. They were 13-3 and went on the road to beat 14-2 Niners and then smashed the Bills. The only bad loss we had that year was to the Rams. I'm never going to complain about 93 but they had a lot of obstacles/distractions that season (Emmitt's holdout, Troy's injury).1992.
But 1993 was the best Cowboys team of all time.
If they actually played each other the 92 team would murk them. A complete rout.
Depth?I think both teams are stacked with HOFers. It’s close. Im partial to 77 because of Roger snd Doomsday but depth and speed of 92 is big
Forget the SB. The year in general. That '92 team was getting better as the year went on. The '93 team peaked. Instead of going by the SB, go by our most difficult opponent. The 49ers.

You really cannot compare the 77 and 92 teams. The offensive linemen rules before 78 were such you had to have quicker lighter linemen because the offensive lineman's hands could not go beyond the width of his body.
Randy White, Harvey Martin were outright superstars with enormous stats and impact. Too Tall Jones blocked passes, caused higher arcs on throws and created nightmares on obvious passing downs. They were home grown, drafted in 3 consecutive drafts. Casillas and Haley wee traded to the Bots. The top three DL studs on 77 team are better than Hailey, Casillas, Maryland. The Manster was Hall of famer and Harvey won MVP that year with 23 sacks. He ran a sub 4.6 40.
I loved both teams. They have given me everlasting joy.
Erik Williams in 1993 was the best OL in football. He knocked people over like a bowling ball. But the idiot gt drunk and drove himself into a rollover accident, broke his leg badly and when he returned, he was 60% of what he was previously
Depth?
1977 was the year most of the 1975 "Dirty Dozen" rookies began replacing the old veterans who then began serving as backups before retiring after the season as SB champions.
Roger Staubach's backup was Danny White
Drew Pearson's was Butch Johnson and Golden Richards was Tony Hill who eventually took his job.
On the offensive line, the tackles were veterans LT Ralphy Neely and HOFer RT Rayfield Wright, However, Wright played in only two games and was replaced by one of the three members of the Irish Connection on the Cowboys new offensive line, Pat Donovan. Donovan would later switch to LT and earn 4 consecutive Pro Bowl selections. The Center and RG were John Fitzgerald and Tom Rafferty. They were backed up by Burton Lawless and Herbert Scott, two more eventual starters. Scott would also go on to earn three Pro Bowl selections and two 1st team All Pro.
I'm sure everyone knows the RB's , Dorsett and Newhouse. The backups were the leading rusher of a previous Super Bowl season, Preston Pearson and Dirty Dozen member Scott Laidlaw.
The DE's were two duos, Thunder and Lightning. However, the Lightning duo of Harvey Martin and "Too Tall" Jones were becoming the more active pair and they were now listed as the starters. One of the backups was Larry Cole, formerly of Thunder. He was an original starter for many seasons, including SB seasons.
The LB had eventual starter Mike Hegman as a backup while the secondary had eventual starters Mark Washinton and Benny Barnes.
The greatest reason that 1977 is their greatest season was their coach Tom Landry who did something unique, something you never saw in NFL history.
In a three year period, Landry made a seamless rebuilding job, replacing his older team with new players. The transition was so smooth that the Cowboys went to two Super Bowls during that three year rebuild, 1975 to 1977.
The season of 1977 was when you had a combination of the old SB veterans and their younger future replacements. The new group would eventually take them to the Super Bowl the next year followed by three consecutive NFC championship games.
In 1977, again #1 offense and #1 defense, this team had them all, old and new. That was depth.
Harris should be in the HOF.That 1977 team was loaded with talent. These players in their careers
