Meh, surprised you wouldn't give the Big 12 more credit than that. It's not like the Big Ten is the SEC. And even then they wouldn't be a whipping boy... You can't honestly say they'll be worse than Minnesota or Indiana.
Also, Nebraska didn't tuck tail. They got sick of Texas running everything and the system of disproportionate revenue sharing.
They got out bullied! Nebraska was use to strong arming everyone. When Texas was 'leaving' and going to the PAC 10, the remaining schools got together, and was going to give Texas, Texas A&M and OU the share of the buyout NE and CO was going to have to repay. After Texas agreed to stay in the Big 12, Texas told them they could keep their shares. When Texas proposed the Big 12 Championship game be played in Jerry's World, the votes were 11-1 in favor. Guess who the 1 vote was. That's right, NE! I hate to see NE go. Why shouldn't Texas get a bigger piece of the pie? They bring more to the table. The other schools knew that. Just ask Sheeplahoma. They were going where ever Texas was going. Why didn't they offer something for NE to stay?
