I'd happily take Downs, Reese, and Bailey at #12. McCoy's injury scares me.
Especially in January.Maybe, maybe not.
Every year we talk about players that wont be there and then they are there.
McCoy is not going to be for everyone...in a weak class I am willing to roll the dice on what I think is a bonfide stud with CB1 potrntial.I'd happily take Downs, Reese, and Bailey at #12. McCoy's injury scares me.
Elite? How...He has averaged less than 1 sack / TFL per game. The threshold for 1st round Edges is usually around 1.2 with the uber elites being above 1.5.
Reddick was an undersized speed rusher as a prospect that is way off IMO. Closest I have seen is Melvin Ingram and Kalijah Cancey.
Can they really afford to take another corner with injury concerns? We already have Bland with a bad foot and Revel took over a year to return from an acl injury.I'd happily take Downs, Reese, and Bailey at #12. McCoy's injury scares me.
Sure - we all have our opinions on here but I think it is fair to say he is an outlier due to his size and his production has not matched that of a top 1st round Edge.In my opinion what I have seen is the best all around Edge in the class right now. Obviously, a player like Bailey has more upside, but he needs to prove he can handle the run. It's more about floor and ceiling. Both are probably long gone at 12, but I see a big gap between them and the next group of edge rushers who I probably consider more at 20: Mesador, Height, Howell, etc.
I get your point, very few with that length have excelled in this league, where could potentially become a tweener. However, watching him I believe he could overcome that lack of length as he gets his hands on the blocker so quickly where he they cannot use that length against him. Time will tell if he can become an impactful player on the next level.Sure - we all have our opinions on here but I think it is fair to say he is an outlier due to his size and his production has not matched that of a top 1st round Edge.
He very well could...but for me to get on board I would have needed him to absolutely dominate and have massive production and he did not.I get your point, very few with that length have excelled in this league, where could potentially become a tweener. Bain would be my number one choice at 12. Downs would be my next choice. To me not taking Bain would be kind of like not taking Aaron Donald. Bain looks to me like he would be a dominant player. He is a dawg.I would not take him at 12. Too much risk at 12 as there has not been a pro bowl or 10+ sack player since 99 that had sub 31 inch arms. If those reports are not accurate I will change my tune.
I would consider him at 20 but would need to know who else is available.
I have him as more of a late 1st.
He throws guys like they are little children.I get your point, very few with that length have excelled in this league, where could potentially become a tweener. He isn't injured now.I think they need a cb1 but I don’t see how you take the injured one when your 2 and 3 are also injured
LoL..ok.Bain would be my number one choice at 12. Downs would be my next choice. To me not taking Bain would be kind of like not taking Aaron Donald. Bain looks to me like he would be a dominant player. He is a dawg.
Unproven thenHe isn't injured now.
Kind of the Derek Stingley approach... he spent his last season at LSU hurt, but proved his health with a big Pro Day, and he's been an All-Pro since.McCoy is not going to be for everyone...in a weak class I am willing to roll the dice on what I think is a bonfide stud with CB1 potrntial.
Again...all if this is only if he is 100% cleared and looks like a freak at the combine.
If I remember Stingley dominated his freshman year and then was basically disinterested after.Kind of the Derek Stingley approach... he spent his last season at LSU hurt, but proved his health with a big Pro Day, and he's been an All-Pro since.
McCoy might be the only one on that list that falls to 12. I'd run to the podium for the Top 3.
I suspect Dallas' big board is different. Don't be surprised if they have Love high on their board. Dallas has never been one to shy away from taking an premier offensive playmaker. Many of the analysts have Love as a legit Top 5 prospect, so if he fell to 12, Jerry and Stephen might be hard pressed to pass on a Top 5 talent.
I wouldn't make that pick myself, largely because I assume we'll do jack squat in FA to make the defense better. So we need to use those picks on defenders.
Love likely won't get past the Chiefs anyway.
Love is the CeeDee guy that could fall in our lap at 12. Stephen talks way too much about our draft strategy and thinks he is the smartest guy in the room. Let everyone know we want a linebacker and cornerback.Love is arguably a top 3 player in the class.Love is the CeeDee guy that could fall in our lap at 12. At the end of the day Stephen likes to hear himself talk.Love is the CeeDee guy that could fall in our lap at 12. Stephen talks way too much about our draft strategy and thinks he is the smartest guy in the room. Let everyone know we want a linebacker and cornerback.
I bet you will be surprised! Those are four great picks. Unfortunately, I doubt any of them will be available at 12.
