Downs and Bain are my top 2 targets for pick 12.

Well they’d be mine as well except neither will be there or I’d be shocked anyway if they were . I’m thinking if we could luck into styles it would be great

A few years back I would void my mock drafts in the simulator every time that Lamb would drop to me because I knew there was no way he would drop that far. Then came the real thing with the Raiders, Broncos, and Falcons.

I guess you never know . I’ve done about a hundred mocks and the lowest Bain ever dropped was 10 and that was before Moore said he was going back for another year at Oregon

I have gotten Downs to drop to us several times but I just don’t see it. I believe he’s the best player in draft

I hope we can get a lamb repeat then

Same thing with getting a chance at Dez and Mo Claiborne.

It wasnt realistic, until it was.

Same, but id be pretty excited to get Styles if it falls that way. I also wouldn't be mad at one of the CBs. Thing is, if we get a cb Im gonna be overly invested in who we follow with at 20. Cause we really need edge and LB help.

The "Bain has short arms" bit comes back now that the college playoffs are over. Wasn't an easy argument to make while he was making one impact play after another in the playoffs. No DE in recent memory has had a run like Bain just had through the last 6 weeks or so.

Truth is, there are 3 edges at the top of most boards, and odds are all 3 will be gone by the time we pick. Broadas thinks Styles will go early, too, and if he's right, we're probably going to be picking between CBs and OTs. There's always the chance Ty Simpson or some such QB will jump up the boards and go early, but we probably need that and someone to do something like draft a guard or a DT or fall in love with the OTs before we pick if we hope to get one of those top edges or Downs.

Or it could be, that our new DC wants them to go CB regardless, given his background.

What is your opinion of McCoy?

Harbaugh is not in charge of the Ravens drafts, Eric Dicosta is. Harbaugh had input but the Ravens run their program the way I wish the Cowboys would. The Ravens drafted Hamilton because the Eagles jumped in front of them for Davis and he was clearly the best player on the board. It was kind of how the Cowboys got CeeDee.

I think a good player will be there...outside of my original list I think Styles would be a good backup plan. I could probably get on board with Woods too.

I think he could have been top 3 if he'd been able to build on his sophomore season. He does everything well. But coming off an acl, it would make me nervous at 12. Absent that, I'd have preferred him over Delane.

But reality is that all the other defenders we have our eyes on might be gone and he might be the only choice left of the top flight defensive players. We should hope the WRs go early.

Wow….. So before the injury McCoy was trending to be a top 5 pick in this draft even with the possibility of Manning and the other quarterbacks. I can’t see how the Cowboys could pass on McCoy if he is there.

We shouldnt. If the meds are good and he crushes the combine he will be the best talent available at 12 IMO.

The Giants have much bigger issues than safety. I think they will take the tackle.
