The best back for speed isDevon Achane. 5’9 185 4.28 soeed. Former track man who can take it to the house at any time.
Head out of the clouds please TP is our speed back.. we dont need or want Henry at his cost in trade and cap . anything else..

easy

Get a real FB to lead the other 5 backs we already have on the books..SMH:facepalm:

The back/s they draft should have absolutely nothing to do with Pollards skill set.

He isn’t likely to be here after this season, and no one should be rooting for us to pay him long term. If they are going to do that, do it now and save the cap space.

This is very likely to go the way Schultz did.

There was a time when we drafted Felix Jones over Rashard Mendenhall because we already had Marion Barber. Very much the wrong reason.
I think it does, many teams like to pair up a speed/power back. If Pollard walks, they will find someone similar to replace him in 2024.

Yup, we need to pick up a bruiser for the back field. A big running back that can move the pile. I dont really see any big backs with any speed in the draft other than Robinson that only goes 220. our biggest back is Rico at 215. I think a one-year deal with Derrick Henry could work if he was reasonable and wanted a chance at a ring. Some will say he’s done, but he would do well with our line. Thoughts?
Short yardage and GL is 90% the Oline. Did you watch the Eagles in the SB?

Yeah but we don't need any small RB's. Who is going to get the 12 TD's left off the field from Zeke not being here. Unless MM can scheme some open holes from the OL.
May as well use the slightly smaller Turpin. Unless Achane can return KR's and PR's as well. that would be a great pick up.
Not hard to score from the 1 yard line which is basically what your hero Zeke did. Those TD's just about any back can replace.

The good backs are the ones that score TD's from outside the 3 yard line.

The one thing we should NOT do is draft someone because they compliment Pollard well.

Pollard may very well not be here after this season.

Just draft the best back you can when the time is right.

They are kind of in a spot where they will need to take one, and probably on the earlier side….which is why I wanted one last year, but it didn’t fall that way.

Sometimes I allow myself to dream of being ahead of position need.
EXACTLY. Need to decide what kind of back is perfect for their offense and get another back like that.

If Pollard is that guy, get Pollard.

Roschon Johnson not Bijan Robinson...

Both played at UT.

Ah, do you like him? I see 4.58 and don't feel super excited but I don't know anything about him.

I dont necessarily believe we need a "big back." We need someone at least 215ish and able to pass block and run between the tackles on short yardage.

I heard this guy is available. Probably wouldn't cost much, either.

Remember Eddie George?

Beware of prominent veteran free agent runningbacks. They are on the market because they can no longer play at the level we remember them for.....or even close.

Why do you think Zeke is still unsigned?

Which Pollard still could not do. The team said he is not that type of RB. So therefore he sucks at scoring TD’s.

Of course he can and he did. Just like any of 50 backs could dive in from the 1.

BWAAAAAAA!!!!!!!! So Pollard sucks at scoring TD's? The GURU has spoken!!

Is that why he had just as many TD's with less carries from much farther out???

:lmao: :lmao: :lmao:

You have to be one of the most wrong way posters this site has EVER seen. This is the new one I will never forget.

-Pollard sucks at scoring TD's

Nope. Need speed guy who can break king runs.
Pollsrd can break those runs. We need a tough inside runner who can push the pile and punch it into the end zone. We’re looking to replace Zeke.

BWAAAAAAA!!!!!

On Tuesday night, Elliott had the opportunity to score some easy fantasy points when the Cowboys were at the 1-yard line in the fourth quarter. The Ravens defense ended up stopping Elliot on three consecutive plays before the Cowboys decided to throw it to Amari Cooper for a TD on fourth down.

Were looking for quality RB's. A thumper is a side note. Could use one of those but pollard or a 3rd round back are perfectly capable of putting it in from the 1. Short yardage is 80% Oline play.

Why would we want to replace Zeke? He was terrible. Zeke wasnt even good at the only thing he was supposed to be good at. How many times did they have to rely on Dak to get that 1 yard?

I don't understand why we need a bruiser inthe backfield. We had that last year with Zeke and people complain about him not breaking tackles in the second level.

Speed guys like Pollard and Gibbs are fine. Pollard was the back getting Dallas to the red zone anyways only for Zeke to come in and get credit with the touchdown.

The team isn’t saying that it’s mostly fans and some in the media. You’ll never get the team to say he’s not an every down back, but the FO and coaches know he’s most effective when he’s splitting carries. Pollard scored 9 TDs last season, some from a distance,. Zeke had 12 TD’s mostly by pushing the pile and pounding them in. The Cowboys have had some struggles punching in them in the endzone from close.
